Behold the new TheTF.Net!

Written by Darren 'Starscream' Jamieson on February 1, 2003 | Site Updates |

You may have noticed that the site has been down the last 36 hours, that was due to our new redesign being implemented and uploaded… and here it is!

Rumours were flying round that we’d been shut down after what has happened over at TFarchive, but we can assure you that this isn’t the case. We took the site down ourselves in order to get this new version up. The bad timing did cause some speculation though. Rest assured that TheTransformers.Net is here to stay.

There are still some bugs to this new site, and some content has yet to be uploaded (for instance the character profiles aren’t online yet) but over the next few weeks we’ll get all of that sorted. Enjoy the site, and let us know what you think in the forums.

’til all are one!

First hosted site: TransformersTheMovie.com is unveiled

We’ve had so many submissions for hosted sites, it’s been tough to actually decide which ones were for us. A lot of the submissions though were unsuitable for one reason or another.

Quite a few people wanted to upload Transformers episodes, not an original idea but a comendable one. We however don’t have the webspace to upload many eps, if we did we’d have them all up available for download now right here at TheTF.Net.

Others wanted to simply upload loads of pictures that they’d collected from around the internet. Again this wasn’t what we were looking for, posting other people’s work without their permission isn’t really a good idea.

Someone also wanted to make a Transformers charatcer profile database. This was a good idea except they wanted too much space, and we have all of the profiles here anyway, we just haven’t had the time to upload them all.

So what are we looking for? Something original, something unique. If you have your own TF work to show off then that’s what we want, not simply copying other peoples work. Maybe you’re a writer, an artist or a game programmer. If you’re doing something with Transformers that’s unique then give us a shout.

So what of our first hosted site? We purchased the url www.TransformersTheMovie.com and gave it over to a guy who wanted to create a web site in the same vein as many professional film sites.

We certainly think that a professional film site is what he has made, and with the superb artwork of Dan Khanna, TransformersTheMovie.com looks every inch the great website we hoped it would be.

So check out TransformersTheMovie.com and be sure to give your thoughts on it, and if you think that you can make a website like this drop us an e-mail.
