Entertainment Earth have posted the first details on the second wave of Transformers: Animated deluxe figures. There will be 8 figures in the case assortment, but only 6 different figures,

With the first cover art for IDW’s new Transformers: Animated comic series, Chris Ryall has posted some new information about the series.
It will be in-continuity and will have a variety of ifferent artists.
There have been lots of sightings of Transformers: Animated toys in the USA and now Hasbro have confirmed that Cincinnati Ohio has been selected as the primary area for the toys first release due to BotCon 2008 later this month.
Look out for them in Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, and K-Mart stores.
A new auction on ebay has shown some more detail on the Transformers: Animated Blitzwing figure. The pictures shows both robot and jet modes, as well as close-ups of all 3 faces.
With the highly successful Transformers: Animated cartoon entering its second season, IDW plan on expanding the universe with their own original comic book mini-series.
The series is different to the current Animated books, which simply reprint the stories from the cartoon, and will tell new stories around the cartoon. The comic is written by Mart Isenberg, story editor for the cartoon.
IDW Publishing editor Denton Tipton has posted the cover art for the first issue on his blog, and it looks very similar to the cartoon.
UK retailer Play.com have put up preorders for the first wave of the Transformers: Animated figures. The figures are listed for release in June, July and August.

Comics Continuum have posted a list of episodes and dates for new Transformers: Animated episodes on Cartoon Network for May. They have proved to be entirely accurate for March and April, so take these dates as very reliable.

Coming off the news we gave you yesterday on The Entertainer listing Transformers: Animated & Transformers: Universe, we now have news on Toys R Us computers listing upcoming figures.
Forum member prime_time has had a sneak peak at the Toys R Us computers, and found some Animated and Universe stuff listed, so expect them soon, maybe late April/May. He did find an interesting listing, a Leader figure “Metropolis”, which he assures us was not spelt Metroplex. Could this be a cityformer or something else, we’ll just have to wait to see.
BotCon.com have uploaded the schedule for the 3 day 2008 convention. As usual, lots of things are happening, including, an IDW Comic Pan, Transformers: Animated Video preview and voice actor Q & A, Fan Film Festival, a Hasbro Transformers Team DVD Commentary, a TCCMagazine and Comic Q&A, Hasbro Toy Panel and and a Hasbro Designers Panel.

After the frist episode of season 2 of Transformers: Animated aired last weekend on Cartoon Network and YTV in North America and Canada respectively, it was hoped that the series would continue without any breaks. However, Cartoon Network will not be airing the next episode, Return of the Headmaster, until 26th April. Luckily, YTV will be continuing with a consistent showing of the series.
Episode 18 will air on Saturday 19th April at 11:00 AM Eastern Time.
