All Hail Megatron Hints

Written by Big Bot on February 22, 2008 | Comics,Generation One,IDW Publishing,News |

Artist Shane McCarthy has posted some information on the IDW forums about the All hail Megatron series that will be quite interesting to fans.

He doesn’t given away any spoilers but does confirm that the series is in continuity with the main IDW G1 story. There will be Autobots in the series but there is still no news on when the series will start or how many issue there will be.

I thought I’d drop by and say hello. ‘Focus On’ is due to hit the shelves soon and it’s great to see everyone getting excited about ‘All Hail’. I’m a big TF fan myself and if you guys have half the fun reading it as I’m having writing it you won’t have anything to worry about.

Anyway, I’m not one for spilling the beans completely (we buy comics for a reason, I like my surprises on the pages) but I wanted to at least drop a hint or two your way since being supporters of these boards should come with some perks right?

Hints:

1) Yes, it’s ‘in continuity’.
2) No, it’s not a ‘world without Autobots’ (that was a misquote from a television interview I did)
3) F-15s? Hell yes.

Megatron Conquers USA

Written by Big Bot on February 19, 2008 | Comics,IDW Publishing,News |

Fidel Castro may have stepped down as President of Cuba, but the bigger news today is that Megatron has enslaved the USA and defeated Optimus Prime. OK, not all of that last sentence may be true but it gives you an idea of what is coming in future comics from IDW’s Publishing (except the Castro bit).

IDW Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall has posted some new art for the All Hail Megatron series and lets just say it looks impressive. Megatron is standing high and proud, with the USA flag in his right hand and a stake with Optimus Prime’s head in his other. The art is by Klaus Scherwinski and is likely going to be a promotional poster or cover.

New listings on Amazon.co.uk and Play.com seem to indicate that Titan are planning on releasing their exclusive UK comic in trade paperback form. The listings mention that the book will be 80 pages long, which equals the first 8 issues of the series.
