First Art from Transformers: The Reign of Starscream

After waiting and waiting, we finally have some art from next months new series from IDW, Transformers: The Reign of Starscream.

The series is the official continuation of the Transformers movie and concentrates on the sneaky Decepticon Starscream. The script is written by Chris Mowry and Chris Ryall with art from Alex Milne and Josh Perez, the same artists who did the Transformers Movie Adaptation comic.

The series will attempt to explain oddities from the film and will visit Cybertron and another planet.

Beast Wars Sourcebook Errors Needed

Over the last couple of months, IDW have released the four part series, Beast Wars Sourcebooks, which bring together characters from Beast wars, Beast Wars II and Beast wars Neo and give them profiles. Unfortunately, the books weren’t a complete success, with text and colouring errors as well as complaints from fans that the images were too small and incomplete and that the profiles didn’t make the characters unique enough.

New IDW Editor Denton J. Tipton has posted on the IDW forums asking for a complete list of errors in the books so that they can be corrected for the TPB release. Dan Khanna will be helping with colour corrections, with the added bonus that some extra artwork will be included as well as the missing glossary. Ben Yee will also be involved.

So if you want a more complete and accurate collection, get involved.

IDW to Reprint Titan UK Comic

A feature on Newsarama, talking with Titan Comics editor Steve White about Titan Transformers UK series, confirms where the next few issues will be heading but also why the idea was taken to introduce an alternate continuity, as to not contradict IDW’s Reign of Starscream series starting in April.

In the comments section, IDW editor-in-chief Chris Ryall has posted a reply to one of the questions from a fan, about the possibility of IDW reprinting the series in the USA, and he confirmed that they will in July.

It has already been confirmed that Titan are collecting what looks like the first 8 issues of their series into one book, due for release at the end of April.
