Bluefunsky from site taobao.com has put up another auction for 2 Fast Action Battlers. The repaints are called Fire Blast Optimus Prime and Pulse Cannon Ironhide. The images included with these show the back of the packaging which show the Tech Specs and general description.

New Transformers: Animated Clip From CN Podcast

The latest Cartoon Network podcast has provide us with a new clip from Transformers: Animated. There is what looks like a new (and much better) intro to the show and a clip featuring Starscream, Megatron, Optimus Prime, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Ratchet and Prowl. It looks like it is from the premiere episode.

Order from Toys R Us in time for Christmas

IDW March 08 Solicitations – Another Spotlight Announced

IDW Publishing’s releases for March 2008 have been announced and there are a couple of surprises. The first is the news that the next Spotlight issue after Spotlight: Grimlock is Spotlight: Mirage! The issue is written by George Strayton with art and the cover by Guido Guidi.

Spotlight Grimlock, which has already been announced, has a cover up at Comics Continuum but there is a MAJOR spoiler on that cover for the entire IDW series.

Continuing the Marvel UK reprinted material is Space Pirates #1 in IDW’s renamed Best of UK.

Finally, there is something different, with The Transformers: Focus On Decepticons. The “preview” issue, 24 pages for $3, looks at the evil Decepticons but also at stuff from the Movie sequel. Full solicitations can be found below:

Transformers Animated Intro Online

Hasbro have continued the build up to the premiere of Transformers Animated by uploading the intro to the show onto their website. The 30 second clip shows the transformation of Optimus Prime, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Starscream and Megatron, who we can now confirm as a helicopter.

Hasbro have updated their official Transformers website with a Transformers Animated section. So far, there are only buddy icons and wallpapers in the download section and some character profiles for the main cast.

Encore Ironhide & Ratchet and Music Label Soundwave: Blaster Black Out in Japan

TakaraTomy have released some new products in Japan, just in time for Christmas. Transformers Encore No 5: Ironhide and Transformers Encore No 6: Ratchet are reissues of the original G1 toys and come with cartoon accurate cardboard heads. Transformers Music Label Soundwave: Blaster Black Version is also out. This item is a lot more rare so if you haven’t ordered it yet, you better get moving quickly.

First Details for Madman’s Super-God Masterforce DVD

Madman Entertainment have put up the first information on their next Transformers DVD release: Transformers Super-God Masterforce Collection. The set is coming out on 13th February 2008 and will contain both English and Japanese audio tracks with English subtitles. The subtitles are likely to be the same as Metrodome’s Masterforce DVD released in 2006. The discs will be in PAL format, and will apparently be region free.
