Cybertron Primus out in UK!

Written by admin on October 11, 2007 | Cybertron,News,Toys | Tags:

Great news everyone, Mr Dogworm of Seibertron.com has spotted Cybertron Primus in Dominoes for £49.99, and here is what he had to say:

I’m a weak, weak man

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v735/thegreatdogworm/primus002.jpg

It’s the non-Unicron version by the way. I didn’t want it, but seeing it in the plastic just melted away my composure. That’s the best pic I could get of the receipt, though if anyone really wants me to I could scan it. Price was £49.99.

Primus is in US packaging, complete with boxart. HOWEVER- it isn’t an import, it came directly from Hasbro UK. It came the shame shipment as Skyshadow, Wing Sabre (okay, I’ll give you the space, by not the inelegant yank spelling Tongue ) and the SWTF Millienuim Falcon. It is worth noting that the Supreme Starscreams I saw in TRU were also in US packaging with boxart, so maybe Hasbro are just importing them? Do they sell Supremes on the continent?

It seems that Hasbro UK have completely axed the tech specs from the their boxes. Wing Sabre and Skyshadow just have their features listed in 12 (!) different languages.

IGN talk voice actors with Aaron Archer

Written by admin on | News,Transformers movie (2007) |

IGN FlmForce have had a chat with Hasbro toy designer Aaron Archer about the Transformers movie and who could be the voice of the Transformers.

“Perhaps the most interesting tidbit gleaned from the panel is the fact that Peter Cullen is seriously being considered by the filmmakers for the voice of Optimus Prime. Cullen played the voice of Prime, and several other Transformers, in both the animated series and Transformers The Movie.”

Auto Assembly Target 2006 Pre-Registrations Closed

Written by admin on | News |

With just FOUR DAYS to go, if you haven’t pre-registered for Auto Assembly Target 2006, it’s too late! We have officially closed bookings today for what is hopefully going to be the biggest ever Transformers convention in Europe, but it doesn’t mean you can’t attend…

Pre-registrations have been great this year and we managed to beat the number of pre-registrations that we had for Auto Assembly 2005 and going by this rate we are well on target to beat the total number of attendees that we had last year which was 409. For those of you who were lucky enough to have beaten the booking deadline, we have sent out all of the confirmation packs and these should be with you any time now.

For those of you who have booked or who are coming along on the day, we have now put all the details on the website on what you need to do on the day and the procedures for checking in and how long we expect it will take. If you are thinking of coming along, we can now confirm that we have approximately 120 spaces left for anyone coming on the day so there should be spaces for most of you thinking of travelling to Birmingham although we would suggest arriving early to be at the front of the queue!

If you want to know more, please check out the Auto Assembly website at www.autoassembly.org.uk or if you have any questions please visit the forum at http://autoassembly.proboards7.com where some of our team will try to answer any of your questions as quickly as possible.

Well, that’s it for this final update. We’re really excited about this year’s convention and we can’t wait to see as many of you as possible on Saturday!

Auto Assembly Target 2006 Special Consultation Event!!

Written by admin on | News |

Hi guys,

Auto Assembly Target 2006 is proud to announce that a special event is taking place at this year’s convention which is taking place in just over two weeks time on Saturday 3rd of June in Birmingham, England…

We are working in conjunction with a UK company who will be running a series of consultation sessions throughout the day for a BRAND NEW Transformers product that they are producing and they want YOU to be involved in it’s development. They want to talk to up to 100 Transformers fans at Auto Assembly Target 2006 to get their views on this new product and your views will help shape this item that will hopefully be hitting the shelves later this year!!

To take part, all you need to do is pre-register for the convention and then we will select 100 attendees at random from everyone who has pre-booked to take part. Because of the nature of the sessions, you will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement and as such the sessions are restricted to over 16s but apart from that anyone will be able to get involved! We must limit this to pre-registrants because of the random nature of the allocations and the age restrictions so we can check this against our records so it’s yet another great reason for pre-booking!! If you are one of the lucky participants, you’ll find a voucher in your pack that you just hand over to the staff running the consultation on the day. All you have to do is go along at any time during the day and get involved in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

However, the cut-off date for pre-registrations is closing fast. If you live outside the UK you only have a few days left to pre-register. We MUST have your online bookings in by Saturday 20th May 2006 in order for us to process them and get your info packs and confirmation slips to you in time. If you book after this date, we can’t guarantee that your packs will reach you in time for the convention and you need your confirmation slips to gain entry to the event.

If you live in the UK, the postal cut-off date is also the 20th May as this will give us time for cheques to clear into our bank account prior to despatch of your packs. If you are booking online, this deadline is extended until Saturday 27th. Again, if you book after this date then we can not guarantee that your packs will reach you in time for the convention.

We are still getting bookings in faster than ever before and we have now had more pre-bookings than the TOTAL number of attendees for Auto Assembly 2004 and we are looking at beating the total number of attendees that we had last year in pre-bookings alone! It is likely that we will have on-the-door places, but these will be limited and we will post details on the Auto Assembly website, forum and issue details through all major Transformers websites as to the number of on-the-door places available on Saturday 27th April 2006.

We will make information available of how to attend if you are coming along on the day and the process for registering, the delays you can expect and what to do if you have pre-registered. We must stress that any on-the-door places will be on a first-come, first-served basis so we would advise that you arrive at the convention early to ensure your best chance of admission to the convention. If in doubt, pre-register.

Auto Assembly Target 2006 is now just over TWO WEEKS away… there are no other Transformers conventions planned for the UK for 2006. We are still in talks to bring further guests to the convention in addition to the NINE already confirmed and we hope to have more activities to announce shortly, not to mention the now infamous goodie bag that all attendees will receive full of free gifts with more gifts in the pipeline in addition to those already confirmed!

As there are now only a couple of weeks before the convention, please ensure that you send your bookings to us NOW to avoid disappointment!

20th (22nd) Optimus Prime in Box

Written by admin on | News |

TFW2005 have received an in box image of 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime. Now, back in 2004, Hasbro UK said it would release 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime in the Uk in 2005, the 21st Anniversary of Transformers. That never happened, but last January in was announced it was coming in May 2006. But this box image shows the year 1985-2005! (instead of 1984-2004 on the North American release). Hasbro don’t even know when their own toy was released in the international market!!

Super God Masterforce DVD Delayed

Written by admin on | News |

Metrodome’s Super God Masterforce DVD Box Set, due for release on 24th April, has been delayed. This isn’t a surprise, as Chris and Jordan are only just finishing the subtitles and the BBFC haven’t rated any material from Metrodome. The release is now placed as 15th May according to Play.com.

Another good reason for this is that Family Guy Season 4, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and Brokeback Mountain are all due out on DVD on 24th April. Hopefully we will get some official confirmation from Metrodome or Chris McFeely soon.
