Brawn

Written by admin on October 11, 2007 | Characters,Comics,Marvel |

ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT
FUNCTION: DEMOLITIONS
FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 1

“Might over microchips.”

Profile: Brawn looks on Earth as essentially a hostile environment – and he loves it. He is the most macho of the Autobots. He delights in challenges and when he faces one he becomes fully alive. He is strong, rugged and very agile – which is why he is frequently teamed with Bumblebee when the Autobots are in a mountainous environment – but it is his enjoyment of the challenge that makes him valuable to his leader, Optimus Prime. He won’t be discouraged and that helps the morale of the rest. He is hardy and enjoys a good joke, if it is not too subtle. His main fault is that he tends to be contemptuous of those not as tough as he.

Abilities: Brawn is one of the strongest Autobots. He can lift up to 190,000 lbs. and knock down a small building with one punch. His endurance and resistance to artillery fire are among the highest of the Autobots.

Weaknesses: As the Autobot with perhaps the least sophisticated circuitry – most of his components focus on his strength – Brawn is very vulnerable to attack by electromagnetic and other types of waves. His eagerness to show off his strength often results in his using it improperly and without thinking. He’s been known to destroy an entire building before realizing it’s the wrong one.

UPDATE UIP UK have mentioned to us that the film is due in July 2006 in the UK but no exact date has been confirmed yet.
Seibertron are reporting that United International Pictures, the international distributing arm of Paramount Pictures (and Universal), has listed the release dates of the Transformers movie for many countries
Austria – July 4th 2007
Belgium – July 15th 2007
France – July 25th 2007
Germany – July 4th 2007
Mexico – July 20th 2007
The Netherlands – July 26th 2007
Sweden – August 3rd 2007
All the details are subject to change, but this list gives a rough idea. No UK date yet, but the movie poster, which is in some cinemas now, did say 2007.

Announcement Trailer in Cinemas Now!

Written by admin on | News,Transformers movie (2007) |

With the release of Superman Returns in cinemas, the Transformers Announcement Trailer is now being shown in cinemas nationwide, in the United States of America that is.

Don’t expect to see it in UK cinemas as the BBFC haven’t rated the trailer, so either Paramount are not going to show it in the UK or just a bit later.

TFauctions.com Create a villain contest

Written by admin on | News |

TFAuctions.com, in conjunction with Guido Guidi, is pleased to announce our latest competition; which is quite unlike anything weve done before.

As many of you know Guido recently created our site mascot, Cougar. Top secret plans for a sidekick for Cougar are well under way but were now on the lookout for Cougars nemesis, and this is where you guys come in.

We want you to create / design or describe a totally new and unique bad guy or bad girl for Cougar to battle it out with.

This competition is open to anyone and everyone. The only pre-requisite is that you come up with a memorable but original character. The winner will be chosen by TFAuctions staff, Guido and a renowned writer that shall remain nameless until the closing week of the comp.

We want you to draw or describe a character including its alternate mode, weapons, general appearance / attitude etc.  This will help Guido to create the finished character.

Use as much detail as possible when describing your character, particularly if you are not sending any visual aids, as this will speed up the final design stages.

The winner will receive an original of his character drawn by comic book artist Guido Guidi as well as an appearance in the mini comic we will create to compliment the upcoming Cougar statue. The chosen character will be written into the comic by our mystery writer who will follow the winners guidelines, with only slight alterations where necessary.

The winner will get full credit whenever the character is used but the winning character will remain the sole property of TFAuctions.com.

This is an excellent opportunity for a budding writer or designer to get noticed and possibly have their design turned into a statue that would sit alongside the Cougar we currently have in production.

If you need a little inspiration Cougars full bio can be found here http://tfauctions.com/mascot.php.

All entries must be emailed to admin@tfauctions.com no later than June 30th 2006. If you have any questions with regards to this comp please feel free to email us at the above.

We wish everybody the very best of luck and look forward to receiving your entries.

Thanks,
