New Revenge Of The Fallen Characters & Alt Mode Confirmations

TFW2005 have received a report from The Hasbro Licensing Summit 2008 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and with it comes lots of Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen SPOILERS.

First up, the Chevy Corvette that has been seen everywhere has been confirmed to be Sideswipe, the red G1 Autobot that originally transformed into a Lamborghini.

The second confirmation is that the Decepticon tape Ravage will be in the sequel, but not as a tape for Soundwave. Ravage is mentioned as having a “very raw beast mode”.

Leader class figures Optimus Prime and Megatron were shown, with Megatron’s figure confirming that his alternative mode is indeed a tank. The Optimus Prime figure will have a new mould from the first film and a new transformation.

ROTF: More Character Confirmation & Transforming Info

At the Hasbro Italy 2009 Brand Preview, some more details on who will be appearing in Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen have been confirmed. SPOILERS AHEAD!

Jetfire and Devastator are both confirmed for the sequel, with Jetfire definately being an Autobot. Jetfire has also been seen, in toy form, combining with Optimus Prime, like he did in Transformers Armada, to form some super robot. If this happens in the film is yet to be seen.

Transformers Ranked 309 in Empire’s Latest Movie Survey

Empire Magazine have released the first 300 entries in their latest and geatest poll: The 500 Greatest Movies Of All Time. Surprisingly, Transformers is represented with the 2007 movie being ranked at 309, ahead of other comic/kids movies such as X-Men 2, Spider-Man 2, Iron-Man, Star Wars Episode III and a lot of Disney/Pixar titles.

The likelihood of the original Transformers The Movie in the top 200 is very slim, but we can hope.
