No Triple Changers for Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen

In a Q&A at TFW2005, Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen writer Roberto Orci has provided some more answers, this time confirming that there will be no triple changers (ala Blitzwing) but there will be combiners:

Talked about it. Does a combiner count? We figure a triple changer is a good idea for part 3.

Also answered was the likelihood that Megatron and Starscream will be up to their old ways again, withbickering left right and center and that it has been discussed (no confirmation) in the writters room about the possiblity of Optimus Prime combining with another robot or even his trailer.

And for anyone wondering what Soundwave will trasnform into, nonbody has guessed it yet.

More DVD News: Animated Season 2 in 2009

Written by Big Bot on September 22, 2008 | Animated,DVD,News,Paramount | Tags: , ,

Paramount Home Entertainment seem on a role today, with another DVD box set on the way. Transformers: Animated Season Two has been announced to come out on 6th January 2009, containing all 13 episodes from the 2nd season and a basic array of extra features. Unfortunately, the episodes will only be in the full frame aspect ratio.

Transformers Energon The Ultimate Collection DVD Coming to North America

Paramount Home Entertainment have announced that Transformers Energon will be receiving the Ultimate Collection treatment with a DVD set containing all 52 episodes on 16th December in North America. Following on from the Cybertron Ultimate Collection, expect a bare bones release, with no extra features.

The news mentions that there will be 52 episodes running for 1092 minutes, or 21 minutes per episode. The only problem with this is that Transformers Energon only received 51 dubbed episodes, missing out Episode 33 – Scorponok’s Scars.

Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen Set Report from Holloman Air Force Base

The Transformers Live Action Movie Blog has received a report from the set of the Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico on how filming is progressing for Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. The report describes the humans and robots present, so beware of spoilers, and includes a set of photos taken at the base.

More Revenge Of The Fallen Megatron Images

S250 has continued with his image leaking, this time for next years other major event, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. He has posted 4 images of a returning character from the first film, Megatron. As you can see in the pictures, he’ll have a new alternative mode, and overall new design, but inkeeping with the Cybertronian style.

Of course, this could be a fake leak, but given S250’s previous reputation, these are more likely real.

Latest Animated Character Revealed: Beachcomber!

Written by Big Bot on | Animated,News | Tags: ,

S250 has slowly been revealing parts of a design sketch from a new character, that will be coming in the third series of Transformers Animated. This character is Beachcomber, who hasn’t appeared in an cartoon series since G1.

Beachcomber will be joining Strika, a female Red Alert and Hot Shot in the next series, which is rumoured to start in Spring 2009.

3 Times as many Transformers in Revenge of the Fallen

IESB.net managed to catch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura at the premiere of Eagle Eye, which is also produced by Steven Spielberg and stars Shia LaBeouf.

Lorenzo mentions that there will be three times as many Transformers in the sequel than in the original movie and that an appearance of Cybertron isn’t a guarentee, but many of the other planned features, that originally were set to be in the first film, will now make it into the second.

He also reveals that the studio (Paramount Pictures) are keen for a trailer to appear during the holiday season to start the hype machine. This will all depend on ILM getting the special effects done in time, so there are no promises.

Here’s the latest update from the guys over at Auto Assembly:

Hi everyone,

We’ve had a fantastic response to the paper and online surveys we’ve been running for Auto Assembly 2009 to help us make next year’s Auto Assembly convention the biggest and best Transformers convention EVER that Europe has ever seen, but if you haven’t already completed the survey, you’ve still got time! The closing date for the survey is the end of September 2008 and everyone who completes the survey and gives us their details will be entered into a FREE draw to win a family ticket to Auto Assembly 2009!!

Even if you didn’t attend Auto Assembly 2008 – or even if you’ve never attended an Auto Assembly event before – we still want to hear your views, and we’d love to hear from those of you who live outside of the UK who are considering attending in the 25th anniversary year next year. Don’t forget that EVERY vote counts in this survey!

We will be taking all of your responses into consideration in planning for next year, as well as all of the additional comments you may make and we’ve already had some wonderful ideas come forward and some VERY useful comments that we will be taking on board for next time so those of you who have already responded have started to shape Auto Assembly 2009!

You can find the survey here:-

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=DkIO_2b1E485TJD6KbOum8Mg_3d_3d

Once the survey closes, we’ll publish the results and produce a follow-up survey to go into more detail about the convention itself based on the decisions we reach and find out EXACTLY what you want from the convention!

Thanks in advance and we hope to see many of you there next year!
