With Transformers Spotlight: Hardhead out tomorrow, Simon Furman has decided to post his thoughts on the issue he wrote. Continuing the weird things with the Transformers logo on it, forum member ironpyrite303 has found some Transformers: Animated waffles for sale in North America. The waffles, from Kelloggs, have 25 images available and are “limited edition”.

The official SDCC website has posted the final schedules for the entire convention, with the details of Hasbro’s all important panel on the Saturday. At their panel will be toys for the Animated Universe line and details of next years 25th Anniversary celebration.

Hasbro UK have updated their online toy store with the first wave deluxe figures of the Transformers: Universe line. Listed are Prowl, Sunstreaker and Tankor, each for the high price of £12.99. To put this in context, this equates to roughly $25 each, compared to $9.99 in the USA.
All can be bought now, are should be in other stores very soon.
TF@TM member Break has posted that he has found the first wave of Transformers Animated Activators at his local Toys R Us store. At the weekend he spotted the first wave of Activators, Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Starscream, which all cost £4.99 each.
These were released in the USA last month, with wave 2 due there in August.
The release of Transformers Spotlight: Wheelie last month completed the third set of Spotlight issues, but has left fans wondering who would be in the next set of 5.
IDW Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall has posted a teaser for the main character in the next Spotlight issue. The picture shows a close up of the characters head. The picture is drawn by Casey Coller, who has been signed up to draw the whole issue after his work on Apocalypse Comics’ variant cover for All Hail Megatron #1. The issue will also be written by All Hail Megatron writer Shane McCarthy, with a scheduled release date of December.
Competition time people, and a simply one at that. Writer Chris Mowry is offering fans a chance to win the original drafts and other bits of material from Reign of Starscream #1, copies of the finished issues #1, #2, and #3 and the scripts for the issues. All you have to do is take a picture of Starscream by 31st July. Simple. Full details can be found on Mowry’s blog.
So that’s the contest! Send me your photos of Starscream (in toy form… any version) visiting somewhere on our planet. Would he go back to Ohio to seek out the fembots of Botcon? Would he be hiding at a local coffee shop? Finally learning about human physiology at the beach with Barricade? Of course, he wouldn’t travel far without a copy of his comic book, now would he? IT’S UP TO YOU!!!
