Interview with Animated voice actor Corey Burton
Seibertron.com have recently interviewed voice actor Corey Burton. Corey is best known for his work as Shockwave in the Generation One cartoon Megatron and Ratchet in Transformers: Animated.
Stormrider: Let’s focus on Megatron for a moment. What is the driving force behind him?
Burton: Icy-cold-hearted arrogance. Beyond the desire for mere universal domination; he revels in cruelty and betrayal. He wouldn’t just steal candy from a child: He’d force them to witness it being slowly squashed onto hard, gritty, sulfurous filth under massive shark’s tooth encrusted jackboots… Relishing the awful crunching sound with each grinding twist. Needless to say, a very Bad Guy.

First up is The Transformers: All Hail Megatron #1, the start of IDW’s new direction for the main Transformers continuity. Set 1 years after the events of Transformers: Devastation, the series focuses on Earth ruled by the Decepticons. Chris Ryall has posted a 6 page preview from the first issue.

Club Exclusive Nightbeat Comic Preview
The Official Transformers Collectors’ Club have posted a 5 page preview of the comic that will be shipping with the Club exclusive Nightbeat figure, which should be ready for pre-order very soon.

First Animated UK Comic Details
After the announcement that Titan Magazines would be launching a Transformers: Animated comic in the UK, very little information has spilled out. Simon Furman has, however, provided some details on Titan’s plans for the series and the title of the first strip.
The first issue will be called “Swiped!”, coming out later this year. It will be written by Simon Furman with art from a popular artist. Story details are being kept secret for now, but the issues will be self contained and have an overall story arc.
Also mentioned is that a bonus 6 page original Transformers Animated story will be available with issue #17 of the main Transformers (UK) magazine, written by Simon and focusing on the Dinobots.

Included are scans of the BD guide included with the set and some screens from the actual features, including the status screen, showing the GPS tracker, robot health and status, and a data panel.
Hopefully the location of Barricade with match up with IDW’s Reign of Starscream series and it seems that Devastator is still be used instead of Brawl.
The Blu-ray release is due for 2nd September in North America and 9th September in the UK.
