Fan2Fan Update 28/01/07 – TF Music Label Soundwave, BW Re-releases & Movie Toys

Fan2Fan have receved some new updates on some new Transformers releases in Japan. First is TF Music Label Soundwave, which has been split into two seperate products, the Spark Blue version and the Sonic White version. Both are due in mid-July for $78.

There was also details on the Beast Wars re-releases that are coming in the next few months. The 10 figures announced will retail for roughly $20. TM-01 to TM-08 are being released in March with TM-09 in April and TM-10 in May.

Fan2Fan have received the latest copies of Figure King, Dengeki Hobby and Hobby Japan magazines, days before they go on general sale. Inside are images of Masterpiece Megatron in colour, details on the new(ish) Beast Wars toys coming, BT-17 Black Convoy.

With everyone busy eating turkey, a few updates have been missed from Fan2Fan. Most of the details concern Masterpiece Megatron but also news on Beast Wars airing again and the Wonder Festival 2007 Winter.

The updates are from the 23rd, 25th and 27th of December.

23 Dec

Latest issue of Dengeki Hobby Magazine and Hobby Japan are now available in some stores today. Featured in Dengeki Hobby Magazine are some new pictures of the MP-5 Megatron including the size of the gun mode, illustration and design concepts. Both magazines are now available for order here.

1. MP-5 Megatron Some new pictures, this time we were shown the Gun mode and illustration. Also featured are the detail info on the accessories that will come with Megatron, including the Laser Cutter, Blaster, Energy Mace and Kremzeek. Some of the design concepts of MP-5 Megatron were also shown. We are taking orders for those interested at this time for US$96, place order here. Shipping cost from Japan is undetermined at this time.

2. Beast Wars will return to network TV coming January, with this rerun, selected Beast Wars toys will be expected to be release as well, this time with upgraded paint job. More details will be available later.

3. Same news on the WF exclusive Binaltech Black Convoy as reported below. We are unable to take any reservations for this item at this time, however, we will be listing any extra units we can secure from the event on this site from 26 Feb, WF exclusive Binaltech Black Convoy will priced from US$89.

Fan2Fan have revealed some more details about Masterpiece Megatron

Kremzeek figure included (different mold from the one that comes with Kiss Players Autorooper x Atari)
– Working Trigger action when in Gun mode
– Same size as MP-01 G1 Convoy!!
– LED gimmick in scope
– Die-cast parts
– Memorable accessories include energy mace, laser-cutter and gun from Transformers The Movie (used by Megatron in the fight with Optimus Prime).
– New transformation designs and concepts, for example moving the trigger part to the legs, improving overall Robot proportion.
– Due to toy gun regulation in the US, Walter P-38 Megatron was never in the plans when the Japan team worked with the US team. MP-05 Megatron is designed and developed solely by the Japan team, solely for the Japan market.
