XyberToys have put up a pre-order for MP-05 Megatron, for £69.90. They are also offering a service to unpack and transform the item so that it can get through customs. Also to note is that it has not been revealed whether it will be shipped in Gun mode to begin with.
***MP-05 may or may not be factory packed in gun mode***
***PLEASE NOTE– VERY IMPORTANT ***
Due to the nature of this toy, Megatron comes packed in Gun Mode. And this may pose problems when undergoing customs clearance to all countries.
Therefore, we would like to highlight to all customers that we WILL NOT BE LIABLE for any actions taken by customs, e.g confiscation or taxes. However, we can provide a service to unpack the megatron toy, and semi-transform him into robot mode, and pack him safely along with the rest of the packaging for shipment to our customers. This would definitely prevent any ‘security’ problems at all customs points, and would allow safe transit of this toy to you. This has been tested and proven to work.
If you would still like to have a mint in sealed box (MISB) item, then please be reminded of the above agreement, that we will not be liable for any consequences of shipping Megatron in gun mode.
We sincerely apologise to all custoemers for all this hassle on buying this really awesome and rare toy, but we need to be honest and upfront on the possible scenarios of purchasing this product, mainly due to the current security precautions and alerts at worldwide customs checkpoints.
