Animated Toys Released on 25th March in USA
Many USA based fans are reporting that Hasbro’s official chop, Hasbrotoyshop.com, have sent out their latest catalog recently.To many fans surprise, wave one of Hasbro’s 2008 line, Transformers: Animated,is now available for pre-order.
Wave one consists of Deluxes Bumblebee, Cybertron Mode Optimus Prime, Lockdown and Prowl and Voyagers Cybertron Mode Megatron and Starscream. Deluxes will cost $9.99 with Voyagers at $19.99.
Many US based websites are reporting that they will be released on 25th March.
Animated Optimus Prime and Megatron Happy Meal Toys
A poster on ACToys has provided the first images of the Transformers Animated Happy Meal Optimus Prime and Megatron toys. No official release date has been confirmed but they will be available in McDonald’s and are made by Hasbro.
The toys are simplified version of the proper Hasbro versions and feature full transformations.
European Animated Packaging
TFW2005 member Locustreign has picked up Prowl and Lockdown from China, but they came in European packaging.
What’s interesting about this is that unlike the North American packaging, which has the character profile on the back of the packaging, this one has the profile on the back of the instruction manual.
Coloured Animated Grimlock Toy Pictures
A new image on Actoys.net has provided the first look at a coloured version of the Transformers: Animated Grimlock toy.
The photo shows Grimlock in his T-Rex mode with his fire sword accessory, which was featured briefly in last weekends episode. The item can be used when in robot mode. Speaking of robot mode, there is no photo of this.
Hasbro haven’t announced when the figure will be released or what wave Autobot Grimlock will be part of.
First Look at Animated Activators
Three auctions on ebay have provided us with the first look at the Transformers: Animated Activators figures in package from Hasbro. The figures shown are for Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Starscream.
Activators work by transforming at the touch of a button and feature accurate designs.
BotCon 08 Exclusive Optimus Prime on ebay
Another auction from eBay seller EToysHunter shows some detailed pictures of BotCon 2008 Exclusive Optimus Prime, from the “Shattered Glass” figure set, which has now sold out completely.
As with most preview galleries, there are lots of photos of the figure in both transformations and with many different angles. The now finished auction of the evil Autobot leader can be found here.

Movie AllSpark Power Stockade, Jungle Bonecrusher and Overcast out in UK
It seems Hasbro UK are still keen on releasing Transformers movie toys right up until the first releases of Transformers: Animated. TFW2005 member dinotron has picked up the latest wave of Allspark Power deluxe figures, Stockade, Jungle Bonecrusher and Overcast.
Stockade is part of wave 7.5 whilst Jungle Bonecrusher and Overcast are wave 8. The sighting was made in Toys R Us.
Animated Lugnut Figure on ebay
An auction on eBay that recently ended shows more close up details of Transformers: Animated Lugnut from Hasbro. The photos of the loyal Decepticon are of the figure in full colour with both robot and vehicle modes shown at different angles.
There is also a comparison photo with Transformers: Animated Optimus Prime and a scale to show how tall he is.
