Malaysian retailer Toy Workers has put up a listing for the nextSan Diego Comic-Con Exclusive figurw from Hasbro. The figure being rumoured is Transformers Classics Nemesis Prime, a black recolour of Classics Optimus Prime.
The figure that is selected is often very popular with fans and this year seems to be no different.
The latest issue of ToyFare Magazine has some very interesting Transformers: Animated pictures, with the first look at Roll-Out Optimus Prime and Earth Mode Megatron. The issue is due for release tomorrow in the USA. A scan from the issue has been made online and shows Earth Mode Megatron.

With the North American Toy Fair coming up from 17th-20th February in New York City, Hasbro have issued a press release, giving details of what they will be showing at the event. The release contains information about a lot fo Hasbro products, but here are the Transformers specific bits:

In 2008, Hasbro will build on the buzz generated by last year’s blockbuster TRANSFORMERS movie by offering a variety of new products in both the TRANSFORMERS Movie and TRANSORMERS Universe segments. In addition, the TRANSFORMERS brand returns to its origin as an animated series with the debut of the new TRANSFORMERS ANIMATED series on Cartoon Network. Co-produced by Cartoon Network Studios, the series is set in Detroit in the near future and airs on Saturday mornings at 10:30 a.m. (ET/PT). The new TRANSFORMERS ANIMATED toy line features an array of characters from the series that will appeal to both young and long-time fans alike. Highlights of the line include Animated styled action figures, ROLL OUT COMMAND OPTIMUS PRIME (Approximate retail price: $49.99; Ages: 5 & up; Available: Fall) along with the SHIFT TECH OPTIMUS PRIME handheld game. There is also a little bit about Toothbrush Juniors, which uses Transformers music, but that isn’t very interesting.
Million Publishing, who released the Japanese Transformers Visual Works Book last year, have provided an updated extension to the book by uploading the bio and prototype photos of Exclusive Emergency Green Encore Ratchet, a recolour of Encore Ratchet.
TakaraTomy have updated their Transformers website with new pages and pictures of their planned releases for this month.
There are pages for Transformers movie Black Arcee (MA-20) and Stockade (MD-23), as well as the long awaited reissue of Generation One Sky Lynx, who is being added to the Encore line.
Fun Publications have posted the first image of the first toy from the BotCon 2008 Shattered Glass boxset. The figure is Shattered Glass Optimus Prime, sporting a new black and purple colour scheme.
Optimus Prime is just one of many figures that will be available during BotCon 2008. The official convention takes place from 24th April until the 27th April. Check back regular for more updates and previews for the other BotCon exclusive figures.
For any UK fans looking for a bargin on Transformers movie toys from Hasbro, Woolworths are having a 25% off sale on all Transformers stock. This is probably a move to sell off all remaining Transformers movie related products before Transformers: Animated toys come along in a few months time.
The latest Transformers movie Allspark line is out, with the Deluxes CliffJumper, Landmine & Camshaft all at £8.24.

TheTransformers.de (no relation) have received news that Transformers: Animated will be airing on 20th June on channel Super RTL. This will coinside with the release of the Transformers: Animated toyline from Hasbro, but not specific toy releases are known at this time.
TF@TM have a report summarising the events of the British Toy Fair 08 from last week. There is news on the Transformers: Animated, Transformers movie, Transformers Universe and Marvel Transformers (basically Star Wars Transformers but with Marvel characters) lines from Hasbro UK.
The movie line will continue until Animated is brought in, with Universe starting soon after.
Of course, we have had promises from Hasbro UK before and have been disappointed but given the success of the Transformers movie line last year, it is looking good for 2008.
Takara-Tomy are going to be releasing the Transformers Classics (Transformation! Henkei!) line in Japan very soon, and as with nearly all their versions of the toys, the are paint scheme changes. BigBadToyStore have put up a preorder part for Astrotrain, due out in April 2008, which shows the figure to have a G1 cartoon accurate colour scheme.
There is no confirmation on this yet but it currently looks very good and will temp collectors and anyone else who already has the white version from Hasbro.
