Their War. Our World. The new official Transformers movie website is now online from Paramount/Dreamworks. It features some flash animation showing the artistic style of the robots and a timer, counting down to the teaser trailer.

Transformers Movie Website Relaunched!
Don Murphy Update on the Movie
Quote from Don Murphy off his message boards
Michael Bays deal is still not closed despite what you might think, but Id make it 95% likely. Michael has a LINE producer partner (the guy responsible for making the film come in on time and on budget) named Ian Bryce- we have lunch hopefully on Tuesday when I will start to push for things like voice actors. Was supposed to be this week but his Father in law passed on. The script continues to be worked on.The website is gonna be up in just over a month COMICON will have a big presence for the film- Ill be there unless I am in London with COOL BREEZE with Michael Douglas so come say howdyTomorrow I have lunch with George Lazenby..should be weird, will let you know why once I can.
Thanks for listening, thanks for caring about Susan and I think this will be a big week for Transformers!!!
Best,
Don
Movie Director to be announced in 3 or 4 weeks
IGN FilmForce caught up with Steven Spielberg on the set of War of the Worlds to talk about Indy 4 but managed to get a quick word from him about The Transformers movie out next year. This is what he had to say
“It’s happening. We’ll announce the director in three weeks, three or four weeks”
So as you can see, it is happening. The full news report on IGN can be seen here.
Furman, Murphy And DeSanto Meet
Simon Furman seems to bee officially in on The Live Action TF Movie (or TLAFTM as I will now refer to it) after a successful meeting between producers Don Murphy, Tom DeSanto and Simon Furman. Details (although a bit scant) can be found at this post on the official Don Murphy forums. Care should be taken though.. as with most forums of this kind, some of the replies have absolutely nothing to do with Mr Murphy’s announcement.

Latino Review has posted some new pictures of the Transformers movie set. Some seem very interesting and again could provide spoilers for the film. They can be seen here.

You can read Don Murphy’s post here.
LAM Update from Don
Don Murphy has answered 5 fan questions, all about who will appear in the movie. Here’s a summary of what was answered
1. Bludgeon is NOT in it.
2. NO characters remain with a Cybertonian alt-mode.
3. Megatron WILL be a tank.
4. A gestalt does NOT make an appearance.
5. Soundwave WILL have minions.
Don also added a few other things to expect from the movie
What no one is REALLY getting is that this film is NOT entirely what you are expecting.
We are NOT doing a cartoon.
We are NOT doing CGI.
We ARE doing a real live action film with CGI in it.
It IS an origin film.
You will get many injokes and you will love the characters and the action.
John does NOD to the comics and the series
BUT it is designed to make $400 million which means people will groove on it who have never heard of TF before and think that you guys are cool for liking TF.
So start thinking THAT way and you will really be pleased.
