Written by admin on | News,Transformers movie (2007) |

The official website for the United States Air Force has released an article on the filming that has been going on at Holloman Air Force Base recently. Here’s a short extract

The production sent location scouts to seven Air Force bases and several Army installations, said 1st Lt. Christian Hodge, chief of industry relations for the Secretary of the Air Force Public Affairs entertainment liaison. There have been several challenges, but Team Holloman has come through in a big way.

The professionalism of Airmen at Holloman also came into play, Lieutenant Hodge said, not to mention one special item the only operational F-117 wing. The proximity of the CV-22 Osprey at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque was also a plus because the film will feature both aircraft.

Transformers in the Desert

Written by admin on | News,Transformers movie (2007) |

Ain’t it Cool News have visited the Transformers movie set in the desert of New Mexico and have provided a lengthy report:

Being TRANSFORMERS and, maybe even more to blame, a Michael Bay movie, there was a huge crew and they were all at Chili’s. Walking up we passed a group of actors, including Josh Duhamel and Zack Ward, who had had enough and were going back to the hotel. The place was rowdy, with grips, stunties and transpo people slugging away at the bar, as grips, stunties and transpo coordinators will do.

Don went on to comment;
“I thought it would be great to actually have a physical reference reel that Bay, the actors, the producers, Spielberg- everybody could play it as a sort of make sure we include as much of this as possible’ thing”.
