Tyrese Gibson joins Transformers cast
MTV.com have interviews Tyrese Gibson, who has revealed that he is playing a character called Epps in The Transformers movie. Here is a short extract from the article
“We are doing it up. It’s going to be special.” Still marveling over the vehicles he has seen, the actor said he couldn’t divulge any details about the classic Transformers (Optimus Prime, Megatron, etc.) or the new additions that will appear in the November 2007 movie. “The film is top-secret. They’ve got me on a straight tight lip on this one. But the director, Michael Bay, is doing an incredible job. [Producer Steven] Spielberg pops his head around the set all the time.

First Draft of Movie Script Complete
Don Murphy has posted on his site that he has received the first draft from John Rogers. The film can now move forward and hopefully make the Summer 2006 deadline set by Hasbro.

LAM Update from Don
Don Murphy has answered 5 fan questions, all about who will appear in the movie. Here’s a summary of what was answered
1. Bludgeon is NOT in it.
2. NO characters remain with a Cybertonian alt-mode.
3. Megatron WILL be a tank.
4. A gestalt does NOT make an appearance.
5. Soundwave WILL have minions.
Don also added a few other things to expect from the movie
What no one is REALLY getting is that this film is NOT entirely what you are expecting.
We are NOT doing a cartoon.
We are NOT doing CGI.
We ARE doing a real live action film with CGI in it.
It IS an origin film.
You will get many injokes and you will love the characters and the action.
John does NOD to the comics and the series
BUT it is designed to make $400 million which means people will groove on it who have never heard of TF before and think that you guys are cool for liking TF.
So start thinking THAT way and you will really be pleased.

Bumblebee Robot Mode image
The first photograph of Bumblebee in ROBOT mode has leaked from the new Transformers film. Unfortunately we cannot show it as Paramount have put a block on it. If you’ve seen one, great for you – but those that leaked it will be dealt with it seems.
On a plus side, we’ve been added to the destribution list for official information on the film.
New Casting
Comedian Ronnie Sperling has joined the cast of DreamWorks-Paramount’s “Transformers The Movie.” Appearing alongside Bernie Mac, Josh Duhamel and Jon Voight, Sperling will play a lead scientist in the movie based on the 1980s Hasbro toy line. He can be seen in the Nickelodeon movie “Zoey 101 Spring Break-Up.” Sperling is repped by Stage 9 Talent and K.S.A.
