Paramount have started their Transformers movie promotion in the UK, despite the fact that the movie isn’t out until the 27th July. During The Simpsons on Channel 4 at 18 00 o’clock, the Discovery TV spot aired during the break.
Look out for more Transformers movie promotion, in the UK later this month.
The Transformers movie has now been released in North America and many other countries and has made a reasonable start at the box office.
In the first day of release in North America, the film made roughly $8.8 million, more than the combined total of the 1986 Transformers The Movie. The movie has also made $36 million in the international market, with $13 million in South Korea and 7 million in Australia.

Transformers movie producer Don Murphy, who is either loved or hated within the Transformers fan community, like Beast Machines or Marmite, has been interviewed by the guys at Comic2Film.com. Unfortunately, the interview gives away many spoilers, so if you haven’t seen the film, which means most people, don’t read ahead.

SuperHeroHype.com were able to get hold of Transformers movie writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman and have a good long chat about their work on the Transformers movie (and Star Trek).
SHH! There were a lot of producers on this movie, so did you have to work with a lot of different people in developing the script? What was the process like in getting the script ready to shoot?
Orci It can get tricky when too many cooks are in the kitchen early on, and I think Lorenzo di Bonaventura was really good at kind of circling the wagons around us and giving us the space to find out what our instincts were and then bringing it to the group and going from there.
Kurtzman Lorenzo’s also not precious about anything. He’s very willing to throw out ideas. He’ll be the first to tell you, “Look, you might like this, you might hate it, but here’s a thought, maybe we go this way” and it’s a great way to start engaging in a brainstorm, ’cause usually your best decisions come when everyone’s kind of fluid with ideas.
