After the disappointments of the BAFTA’s for Transformers, there was better news across the Atlantic, with the film winning four awards in the Visual Effects Society Awards.
Transformers won the main prize of outstanding visual effects in a visual effects-driven film and other prizes, including single visual effect of the year, for the highway sequence with Bonecrusher and Optimus Prime, models and miniatures, and compositing.
Collecting the top prize on bealf of ILM were Scott Farrar, Shari Hanson, Russell Earl and Scott Benza.
