Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Downloadable content

We just received this press release from Activision concerning exclusive downloadable content for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. The downloadable content pack includes new playable characters, including a Generation One version of Starscream.

Now that you’ve had the opportunity to experience the single-player campaigns and multiplayer modes of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, we wanted to let you know about an exciting downloadable content pack that Luxoflux has been hard at work on to support the growing TF: RotF community.

Set to launch later this summer for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game, the robust DLC offering will appeal to fans of both the original Transformers animated series and the blockbuster films.

We are pleased to announce that the pack will include the following:

  • Over TEN new multiplayer characters including ultimate fan favorites such as G1 Starscream and movie favorites like Sideswipe.
  • Three all-new multiplayer maps.
  • Play new characters in both the Autobot and Decepticon single player campaigns.
  • New Expert difficulty mode with a fresh set of leaderboards to challenge more experienced gamers in the single-player campaigns.

Final Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Game Trailers

Activision release the official Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Game tomorrow in North America, and the rest of the world throughout the week, and to promote this occasion, they have released 2 trailers, one is the Game Launch Trailer, the other is the Multiplayer Trailer, which looks particularly exciting.

This is the footage for the Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 editions of the game.

Exclusive Gold Megatron & Optimus Prime coming to UK

By preordering Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on the PlayStation3 or Xbox 360, you will receive a code to unlock the characters for multiplayer games. In case you are wondering, this is the same promotion as GameStop are offering in the USA.

Another bonus is that GAME are also offering an exclusive cover, which is very similar to the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – Autobots game on the Nintendo DS.

Look out for all the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen games out in Europe on 26th June, with the North American release 3 days earlier.

Brady Games Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Official Strategy GuideBrady Games, who seem to release strategy guides for nearly every game, including Transformers The Game in 2007, will also be providing an official guide for Activision’s follow up Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen game.

The guide will help players through the Autobot and Decepticon single player campaigns, provide details on all the characters abilities, help players who venture into the online multiplayer modes and provide details on the games secrets, including unlockables like G1 cartoon episodes.

Interesting the book only covers the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 versions, but not the PC edition.

Look out for the book from 16th June and the actual game from 23rd June in North America and 26th June in Europe.

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN

TREASURE HUNT IN PLAYSTATION HOME

To promote the release of TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, Paramount Pictures International (PPI) and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) today announced the release of a selection of Transformers merchandise, available exclusively through a virtual treasure hunt in Home.  A variety of T-Shirts and a unique ‘Autobot Trophy’ will be rewarded to residents who complete the ‘Transformers Quest’.

Instructions:

Starting today, Home residents can begin the quest by finding the Transformers theatrical poster, placed at a few points throughout the public spaces in Home. Another will succeed this poster and targeting it will launch the first in a series of games that will be released over the coming days and weeks.

Every time a new game is released, the Transformers poster will appear at a different location around Home and will lead to the next game. The completion of each game will deliver a unique voucher code, which can be redeemed for an exclusive piece of Transformers merchandise.

The five games will be released over the coming days, in the run up to TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN’s theatrical release on 24th June 2009. If you miss a game, or join the quest late, you can find the clues to previous games in the Upper Level of Home Cinema.

Glu Mobile Games have put a trailer on YouTube for their new mobile game based on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, ‘cleverly’ titled Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen The Mobile Game.

The side-scrolling  game allows you to play as Optimus Prime or Bumblebee and fight against evil characters, including Starscream, The Fallen and Devastator in a wide range of environments from the film.

The voice legends that are Peter Cullen and Frank Welker have given an interview about their work on the Transformers 2 video game, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.

Peter Cullen was the voice of Optimus Prime in the original TV series, the movies directed by Michael Bay and the video games. Frank Welker voiced Megatron in the TV series and the game, was replaced in the movies.

This offer is available for any version of the game, excluding the Nintendo DS Autobots and Decepticons versions.

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen video game trailer

If you haven’t seen the trailer for the Transformers 2 video game, which is released to coincide with the Transformers sequel, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, then you’ll need to watch this. The video game trailer is in two parts, with the first part focusing on the Autobots and the second part on the Decepticons. Which side will you choose?

The first video game two years ago for Michael Bay’s first Transformers movie wasn’t very good, but this one looks awesome based on what we can see in this trailer.
