After the release of Transformers The Game yesterday in North America for all major consoles, the reviews have started pouring in. To put it simply, it doesn’t look good.
Despite success with the Lego Star Wars series, Traveller’s Tales seems to have developed a game that is too short and repetitive. Generally, it seems Activision has had another disappointing Movie based game release, after Spider-Man 3 back in May.

The Nintendo DS� offers two completely different games, TRANSFORMERS AUTOBOTS and TRANSFORMERS DECEPTICONS. Good news for North American gamers. Transformers The game on PSP and Transformers Autobots and Transformers Decepticons for Nintendo DS have been released. Expect reviews to be up soon. This is also good news for the rest of the world as well as these portable games are region free.

Recently, many gaming and Transformers related websites were invited to play and see some of Activision’s Transformes The Game by British developer Traveller’s Tales for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 and Vicarious Visions for the Nintendo DS.
We were invited but couldn’t make the trip from the UK to California, despite the game being developed down the road in Britain.

Transformers The Game from Activision has been rated PG by the BBFC in the UK. The info provided by the BBFC also gives us an idea of what is included in the game.
There seems to be some short extras involving Armada, Energon and Cybertron and lots of very short video clips before and after levels. Also mentioned are 163 images, probably unlockable extras.
In total there are 28 minutes and 12 seconds of footage.
