Shae McCarthy Discusses All Hail Megatron

UK comic store OneShallStand.com have managed to interview All Hail Megatron writer Shane McCarthy.

They discuss his work in the comic industry and how he managed to get a job on a Transformers project. He also answers some of the criticism that the series has received and some of the unanswered plots, like the Autobot traitor, which will be revealed in issue #8, and what his next project might be after All Hail Megatron.

From the cover, it seems all is not well with the Autobots.

Small AHM #7 Update

All Hail megatron writer Shane McCarthy has posted a small update for issue #7 of the series, having now seen the sketches from Guido.

I’ve just recieved the initial sketches for a double page spread in AHM #7 that, seriously, may cause actual bodily harm to anyone that reads it.

You’ve been warned.

Guido is the man.  Either that or just an astonishing freak of nature.

McCarthy on All Hail Megatron so far

With fans started to get onboard the All Hail Megatron train, writer Shane McCarthy has discussed the reaction to the series with Comic Book Resources, as well as the design concept for the new character Drift.

Also included in the article are the cover for issue #8, plus a couple of unreleased pages and concept art for a new design for Perceptor.

SDCC 08: Shane McCarthy Blog Updates

Shane McCarthy has updated his blog with news on some of IDW’s new Transformers books. A brand new character will be appearing in IDW’s All Hail Megatron series, called Drift. All that is needed is final confirmation from Hasbro.

Also on his blog is the cover for All Hail Megatron #4 by Trevor Hutchison. The simple design is meant to convey “sorrow, solitude and defeat”. The issue will be out in August.

Spotlight: Blurr Confirmed

After IDW Editor-in-chief Chris Ryall posted a teaser for the next Spotlight issue, lots of guesses were submitted and one character seemed more popular than others, Blurr. Well, it turned out to be true, with the fastest talker in the universe being confirmed in his own Spotlight issue in December.

The issue will be written by Shane McCarthy with art from Casey Coller and colours by Joana Lafuente. The cover and first 3 pages can be found below:

Artist Shane McCarthy also updated his blog today, with a colour version of Guido Guidi’s excellent cover for The Transformers: All Hail Megatron #3. The pencil version was shown a couple of days ago.

All Hail Megatron #3 is released in September.
