OK, that’s a lie, but you can make up your own decision on Wednesday when The Transformers Spotlight: Optimus Prime is re-released in 3D, IDW’s first ever book in the format. Or you can check out this five page preview from Chris Ryall if you happen to have a pair of 3D glasses hanging around the house.

IDW Comic Releases – 19/11/08
Lots of new books this week, however, none of them are completely new to dedicated readers.
Firstly there are 3 reprints of IDW’s cartoon screencap series of Transformers: Animated books, Transformers: Animated Vol. 1 [3rd printing], Transformers: Animated Vol. 3 [2nd printing] and Transformers: Animated Vol. 4 [2nd printing]. Next up is also a 3D version of Spotlight: Optimus Prime (with 3D glasses), which came out mid 2007.
Finally, the real deal this week is Transformers: The Reign of Starscream TPB, the official sequel comic to the 2007 Hollywood blockbuster. It comes with a whole host of extra material, and will prepare you for IDW’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen prequel series, starting next month.
Chris Ryall has the covers for 3D Optimus Prime and ROS TPB.
