Lots of ROTF Toys out in UK

Written by Big Bot on May 21, 2009 | News,Toys,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen | Tags: ,

The UK seems to be having it good right now. The Transformers Revenge of the Fallen release date has been brought forward to 19th June, and now we have lots of ROTF toys as well.

Forum member NeoPrimus has spotted Legends Optimus Prime, Jetfire, Springer and Bumblebee, Scout Dead End and Knock Out and Deluxe Breakaway, Rampage, Sideswipe and Sideways. All were found at his local Argos.

Get hunting UK fans, you’re local store may have jumped the official release date (30th May) and released the figures early.

New January 2009 Argos Catalogue – Confirmed Transformers for Sale

Written by Big Bot on January 18, 2009 | News,Toys | Tags: , ,

The bi-annual event of the new Argos catalogue occured yesterday and its now time to analyse the 1802 pages to see what Transformers offerings are inside. Animated Bumper Battlers are shown twice, and Animated Deluxes seem to have a price increase, but Leader Megatron has £10 off.

Legends 5 Pack. Cat no 387/7931 – £14.69
25th Anniversary Voyager. Cat no 369/8048 – £19.59 (Inferno Pictured)
25th Anniversary Ultra. Cat no 081/5099 – £24.49 (Silverbolt Pictured) Extra Stores Only

Transformers: Animated
Animated Activators. Cat no 387/6530 – £6.79 (Patrol Bumblebee & Grimlock Pictured)
Animated Bumper Battlers. Cat no 387/7405 – £9.79 (Nightwatch Optimus Prime Pictured)
Animated Deluxe. Cat no 369/7647 – £12.69 (Blurr Pictured)
Animated Leader Megatron. Cat no 369/7692 – £29.39 (Megatron Pictured)

Ironically, on page 1674, it mentions that 2009 is the 25th Anniversary of Transformers. This makes no sense as Hasbro UK (wrongly) said that 2005 was the UK’s 20th Anniversary!

UK Animated Comic being Cancelled

Written by Big Bot on January 6, 2009 | Animated,Comics,News,Titan | Tags: ,

Titan Comics have sent out letters to subscribers that their Transformers: Animated comic, exclusive to the UK, will be discontinued after issue #3, which was released last month.

Given the credit crunch, it appears to be very hard to sustain two Transformers comics in the UK. Subscriptions are being transferred to Titan’s Transformers movie comic, which is far more likely to survive.

UK Revenge of the Fallen Release Date

Written by Big Bot on December 17, 2008 | News,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen | Tags: ,

TF@TM have received word from Paramount Pictures UK that the UK premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be on 26th June 2009 at The Odeon Leicester Square. The film will either be released nationwide that week, or the following Friday. Also, look out for news of preview screens coming soon.

This seems like good news, considering the first movie was released a month after the North American debut. So far nearly all the confirmed dates for the sequel’s release are on 25th or 26th June, with only France being forced to wait until 8th July.

Following on from the North American release on Tuesday, the UK can today sample the Transformers: Animated action on their Nintendo DS.

Look out for platforming action with driving segments for all four Autobots (minus Ratchet). The game is rated 7+ by Pegi, which means it is only sensible for children of ages 7 and up.
