Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Officially Rated and Film Length Revealed

Written by Big Bot on June 15, 2009 | News,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen | Tags: , , ,

BBFC - 12AHere’s another first, just like we made for the 19th June UK release date. The BBFC have rated Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen as 12A in the UK, meaning it is recommended for viewing by anyone aged 12 and over. However anyone under 12 can still watch the film as long as they are accompanied by an adult (18 and over). This is the same rating as the first film. It should be noted that the film contains “moderate action violence, language, sex and drug references”. Full 12A guidelines can be found here.

The other good news is that the film is uncut.

The official running time of the film is 149m 45s, which is 6 minutes 30 seconds longer than the first film. This is most likely the regular cinema version of the film, as the BBFC often make a policy of noting if the movie is for IMAX.

Also, for all you stats people, this rating decision is exactly 2 years to the day as the first film was rated.
