The BBFC have (finally) rated all 42 episodes of Metrodome’s Transformers The Takara Collection Vol 2 Super-God Masterforce, due out on DVD on 3rd July only in the UK. The work was rated PG, passed with NO cuts and came in at 967 minutes and 13 seconds (thats over 16 hours of Transformers action). This includes the subtitles. You can also see the newly translated episode titles.

RiD comes to DVD this summer!
As announced by Daz on the forums a little while ago, “Transformers Robots in Disguise” is coming to DVD courtesy of UK company Maximum Entertainment. And now, we’ve got the goods on the first release – set for July 26th, the first disc will contain the first five episodes of the series, with another release set for October. Boxsets are a possibility in the future.
Stay tuned for new details as we get them!
Maverick lose out in Transformers rights!!!
Maverick Entertainment have lost the rights to Transformers in the UK. Fans expecting a release of the season 2 boxset on DVD will be disappointed to learn that there will be no more in the way of Transformers releases from Maverick.
TV LoonLand have prized the rights away from Maverick, and it’s unknown at this time what their first release will be. We wait with baited breath to find out.
Lee Sullivan in talks with Metrodome
Transformers comic artist Lee Sullivan is currently speaking to Metrodome about supplying artwork for their Season 2 DVD release. This could hopefully lead to a really great piece of artwork on the cover. We cross our fingers and pray for it in the forums.
Meanwhile it does look as though we’ll be getting two volumes for Season 2 as opposed to one big boxset as the financiers fainted at the cost. Still, it was worth a shot.
Complete RiD DVD boxset cancelled
It’s still listed on several websites, but here’s the official word from Maximum Entertainment’s Colin Lomax on the fate of this set
“As a result of disappointing sales we have decided against continuing with the ‘complete set’ approach and have instead chosen to release the episodes on single DVD’s at a lower price point. Consequently we won’t be including any extras. We may revisit the box set approach when the new Spielberg movie is released but not for now.”
So if anyone was holding off on buying the two individual sets in favour of waiting for this, hold yourself back no longer.

Calling all FanArtists!
Metrodome’s Transformers Season 2 part 2 is due out in April, and as with the Season 2 part 1 TheTransformers.Net will be putting its stamp on things with a FanArt gallery. So, how would you like to add your artwork onto the DVD? You would? Thought so, just email your artwork to us here and we’ll send the best of it off to Metrodome to be included on the set.
Note if you’re one of our contributing FanArtists and there’s a piece you specifically want included, let us know. We’ll be added a few pieces from our galleries, but we wouldn’t want to miss any out!

Appeal for Help – Scramble City
This is an appeal for help from anyone out there with the means to assist us. We’re looking for a copy of Scramble City – subtitled. We’ve got one that’s over 60 meg in size and would do, but we’d prefer to have a larger, better quality version.
If you have a copy of Scramble City, either on VHS or in AVI format and it’s decent quality (for AVI – larger than 60 meg) then can you mail us and let us know?
By the way, it’s for the Season 2 part 2 DVD from Metrodome!

, but if the SIX disk version does exist i will get send that.
