Transformers 3 set for July 1st 2011, with Michael Bay

Written by Darren 'Starscream' Jamieson on October 2, 2009 | News,Transformers 3 (2011) |

megan-fox-michael-bay-55041028As Don Murphy announced on Facebook last night (yes, Facebook… you really should get your news from the source) Transformers 3 has been set for a July 1st release in 2011 and Michael Bay is set to return as the director.

There were false rumours flying around for some months that Bay was done with Transformers, but these were just derived from misquotes from Bay that he didn’t want to think about Transformers 3 for a while.

Well he’s thought about it and he’s happy to continue. Fans of Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox will be pleased to know that they’re also set to return.

Let’s hope that this time we get Dinobots… mmm… Dinobots.

nerble-megan-fox-maxim-04Yes, you heard right. Transformers 2 star Megan Fox is challenging people to play Transformers Revenge of the Fallen against her on Xbox LIVE this week. The Transformers babe will be logged on and ready to take up your challenge at 3:00pm Pacific Daylight Time on August 29th, using some of the new characters and location maps on the game.

If you want to challenge Megan, and presumably offer her advice as you play against her, you can find out more info here:

Transformers Decepticon Car Badges

Written by Darren 'Starscream' Jamieson on | Auto Assembly,Merchandise |

It’s the Transformers convention in Birmingham this weekend and my car is now blinged up and ready to go. I just received my eBay order of 4 Decepticon car badges, which cost me just £1.20 (plus some postage) from China.

The badges look awesome and fit nicely next the Z3 badge on the back of my car. I’m now driving a Decepticon!

TheTF.Net Forum meet at AA 2009

Written by Darren 'Starscream' Jamieson on | Auto Assembly,News |

I was speaking to Simes from Auto Assembly this week and he kindly offered to give us at TheTransformers.Net a slot in the busy AA schedule for a forum meet. So if anyone from our forum wants to meet up and put a beard to the username, you can do so at Auto Assembly on the Saturday, between 6-7pm.

Simes also wanted me to mention that pre-registration for the convention has just closed (which if you’ve been on another planet for the last few months is this weekend, Saturday AND Sunday, in Birmingham). There are still passes available on the door though, so you can get there early and still get in.

Hopefully we’ll all see you there!
