Play.com have decided to ship the three new DVD volumes of Transformers: Animated a week early in the UK.

Volume 2: Lost and Found, Vol 3: Megatron Rising and Vol: 4 Mission Accomplished all come curtiously of Paramount Home Entertainment, who have continued their lazy ways and have simply replaced parts of the packaging with new or reordered stock pictures of characters, static menus and absolutely no extra features, just like Vol 1: Blast From The Past.

Vol 2 contains episodes 5-8, Vol 3 episode 9-13, completing season 1, and Vol 4 episodes 14-17.

All three DVDs are rated PG by the BBFC and the Irish Film Censor.

The main theme to the new Transformers movie, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, is being released shortly and the music video will be premiered even sooner. The band have a making of video on their MySpace page that shows the special effects being deployed in the video for the single, and even shows some footage from Transformers 2.

The video is being directed by Joe Hahn and looks pretty awesome. The clowning around on wires looks a lot of fun as well!

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Exclusive Premiere Report Footage

Written by Darren 'Starscream' Jamieson on | News,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen |

We’ve just been sent this video showing footage from the World Premiere of Transformers that took place yesterday in Tokyo, Japan. The video shows footage from the movie itself and red carpet interviews with the stars and director, Michael Bay.

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen – Exclusive Tokyo Premiere Report – kewego

Harry Potter Moves IMAX Date due to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

It seems Transformers is even bigger than we thought.  The IMAX version of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has now been delayed by 2 weeks from it’s original opening of 15th July. This is due to a deal between Paramount and IMAX, which gives Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen exclusive use of the IMAX cinemas for 4 weeks, starting from 24th June, in exchange for shooting scenes with the IMAX cameras, which is more expensive than traditional methods.

As you can imagine, many Potterfans are blaming Paramount for this, without considering the fact that it was Warner Brothers who pushed back the release date for Harry Potter 6 from November 2008 to Summer 2009, just to keep their balance sheet flowing. Now they are paying the price for trying to take on the robots in disguise!

You may also remember that Die Hard 4.0 moved from it’s original release date in 2007 to make way for Transformers. Expect Michael Bay to start boasting in 3..2..1..

Imax Version of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen to have Extended Cut

In Michael Bay’s latest forum post, he mentions that he has just about finished the film, with work continuing around the clock. He also mentions that the Imax version of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be longer than the regular cinema cut.

Now unlike the first film, which was released in similar fashion, these extra scenes will not consist of bring human talking/being annoying, but will feature robot action in the four specially film Imax scenes. Just what we wanted to hear!

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is out in the UK on 19th June, before everyone else!

Advance Transformers: The Complete First Season 25th Anniversary Edition DVD Reviews

With only 8 days until Shout! Factory’s Transformers: The Complete First Season 25th Anniversary Edition DVD is released to North American fans, a few sites have now reviewed the set and the feedback seems to be generally quite positive.

DVDTalk and TheDigitalBits both few the remastering job and good extra features, combined with a low price make this a recommended package.

Here is DVDTalk’s closing comment:

Though Shout Factory’s technical presentation is the real selling point here, the new bonus features, low retail price and sleek packaging offer an added incentive for those on the fence. Overall, fans of all ages will find this 25th Anniversary Edition of Transformers: The Complete First Season hard to resist. Firmly Recommended.

And the last sentence from The Bits:

Between the superior audio and video, the accurate editing, the slimmer package profile and the more in-depth extras, this DVD upgrade is a no-brainer. Fill the mixing bowl with your favorite sugary cereal (bonus points for chocolate milk) and dig in!

More Auto Assembly 2009 Info – Another Guest?

Written by Big Bot on June 5, 2009 | Auto Assembly,Conventions,News | Tags: , ,

Simon Plumbe from Auto Assembly got in touch with TheTransformers.Net again recently and sat down for a follow up to our recent interview.

This time Simon had even more news on the convention, including a potentially massive announcement concerning guest line-up…

So Simon, you’ve confirmed Gregg Berger and Ian James Corlett which is pretty awesome, but from our recent conversations you’ve told me that you’re now talking to a THIRD voice actor for AA 09?

A. Absolutely! I’ll be honest though and say that this is entirely down to the attendees. I have been in talks with different sponsors to try to raise money towards getting more guests for the convention, but ultimately it is going to be a case of everything extra being funded from pre-registrations. I have been talking to an actor for a while who is ready to come over and join Ian and Gregg and at a rough guess I would say that if we can get about 500 pre-registrations then we will be able to afford to get them!

Spill; who’s it gonna be?

A. I can’t say right now, but what I CAN say is that we are looking at trying to bring a former Auto Assembly guest of honour back, but it’s all dependent on YOU guys to make it happen!

*ponders* AA08 was my first convention but I’m sure some of theft.netters will be compiling a list of previous attendees as we speak!

Onto competitions; last year you had a free prize draw for all pre-registrants to win a ticket for this year’s convention. Are you planning on doing the same this year?

A. Yes, infact I’m working on THREE big prize draws this time around… well, it IS the 25th Anniversary so we may as well do things in style!! The first one will be the same as last year and every pre-registrant will be entered into a free prize draw to win a family ticket to Auto Assembly 2010 and possibly some other prizes as well! In addition to that, I’ll be running two more prize draws starting in June until pre-registrations close which I think people may love…

The first of these is what I am calling our “Milestone Draw”. Over the last few years, we have set various attendance records for Auto Assembly, and I want to acknowledge these by rewarding those attendees to help us reach those figures again. Quite simply, when a person registers and their ticket number matches each of these key numbers then they will receive a FREE ticket to Auto Assembly 2010!!

Now that’s ever so slightly awesome! Any news on ticket number 5…

A. No, you booked too early! lol Seriously though, we wanted to look at some of the really big (more…)
