$25,000 wager that Skin and Mudflap are not to be seen in Transformers Dark of the Moon

Written by Tom Potts on May 16, 2011 | Transformers: Dark of the Moon |

Director Michael Bay has hit back at the first review of the up and coming Transformers film “Dark of the Moon” that is due to be released in cinemas on July 1st.

In the first actual review of the film that was featured on the famous movie website “Aint it cool news” the writer Capone mentioned about “Street-smart robots here to entertain us.”

“Yes, they’re back too, but let’s just say they’re toned down,” wrote Capone.

However Michael Bay is strongly denying that the Transformer twins, Skin and Mudflap, are even in the final instalment of the franchise. Michael Bay posted on his website the following statement:

“After the Internet posting of a nice review by someone who saw “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” the writer had been clear on one thing. He misstated that the Twins are in the film. They are not”

“So I am offering a $25,000 REWARD to anyone who can find them performing in Transformers 3, on July 1, when the movie opens,” he added.

Capone also released a statement stressing that he was not referring to the twins in his article. He commented:

“Hey, everyone. Just to 100 percent clear, I’m not referring about the ‘The Twins’ here; they are most definitely not in this film,” wrote Capone in his edited review.

“I’m talking about Wheelie (Tom Kenny, who also voiced Skids in ‘Revenge of the Fallen’) and other similar smaller robots, who act like streetwise teenagers.”

Bay’s posting does not include any information on how to claim the prize should you actually spot the twins in the film.

Exclusive Prime toy available with your ticket for Transformers Dark of the Moon

Written by Tom Potts on May 10, 2011 | Transformers: Dark of the Moon |

A promotion by a Japanese firm, Lawsons, is under way ahead of Michael Bay’s new Transformers film, ‘Transformers Darkside Moon’ (as it is known in Japan). People who buy a 3D ticket to see the new film can also get the chance to buy a limited edition Prime Black toy. The toy, that is a re-release of a previous model, has a few differences to the first one. The price for one of the toys and a ticket to go and see the film in Japan will be around fifty pounds – sounds like a bargain!

The Promotion which the firm started on the 1st May is going to carry on running until the 28th of July; the day before the film premieres in Japan.

The figure is a repaint of the of the Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons Voyager Optimus Prime. According to the silhouette of the figure, this exclusive figurine is going to have the blades fitted instead of the battle hooks. The battle hooks were an exclusive to Japan the first time that this figure was released, while all other models outside of the country had the blades.

Lawsons is also doing a separate promotion where they will include a loop strap for handheld gaming devices or mobile phones and similar electronic gadgets. That is separate of the exclusive figure promotion and will be available until June 30th.

The film, which is titled “Transformers Darkside Moon” in Japan is due to go on general release on the 29th July and is suspected to be a huge film summer blockbuster worldwide.

Transformer trailer debut breaks Internet record

Written by Tom Potts on May 9, 2011 | Transformers: Dark of the Moon |

Michael Bay’s eagerly anticipated film trailer for the third Transformers movie, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, was downloaded and watched more than 6 million times in the first 24 hours of its release on iTunes movie trailers, making it the most successful Internet trailer ever watched according to Paramount Pictures.

Paramount Pictures also released a short synopsis giving fans a brief taste of what to expect from the upcoming film. A mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day and threatens to bring a war to earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us.

The film, which is set to be released nationwide in the U.K on July 1st is expected to be a huge summer blockbuster, has an all-star cast including Shia LaBeouf, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Patrick Dempsey, Kevin Dunn, John Malkovich and Frances McDormand.

Megan Fox, however, is not returning to the screens in this third film and has been replaced by English model, and FHM sexiest woman, Rosie Hungtinton-Whiteley. She is going to play the role of Carly – an original character from the 1984 animated series.

“Transformers represents big summer fun at the movies and iTunes Movie Trailers was the ideal place to debut the latest instalment to a huge global entertainment audience” – says Amy Powell, Paramount Pictures’ Executive Vice President Interactive Marketing & Film Production.

The film is set to be shown in 2D, 3D and selected IMAX studios.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in her underwear

Written by Darren 'Starscream' Jamieson on January 25, 2011 | Transformers 3 (2011),Transformers: Dark of the Moon |

Rosie Huntington-WhiteleyFollowing yesterday’s post where former Transformers actress Megan Fox appeared topless in an advert for Armani jeans it was perhaps only to be expected that the new Transformers actress, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who appears in this summer’s third Transformers movie ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ would up the stakes.

Rosie was today seen on the Daily Mail’s website in a new campaign for Victoria’s Secret, dressed in a very provacative lingerie set. The model turned actress looked stunning in the underwear for the new campaign, pouting away in a bid to outdo Megan Fox’s campaign for Armani.

What do you think of Rosie? Are you looking forward to seeing what Transformers 3 director Michael Bay will have her do in the new film?

You can see more of her photos here.
