IDW Comics Releases – 27/02/08

Out this week are 2 Transformers titles. The first is from IDW Publishing and is The Transformers: Devastation #6, the final issue in this series arc. The issue retails for US$3.99 in all good comic stores.

We’re not quite sure what is the follow up title, as nothing official has been confirmed, but the likely series is the All Hail Megatron series that has had some interesting artwork released.

Also out is Transformers Collection 2007, which is a copy of the same titled book from Japan released last summer. The book focuses on the Transformers movie and retails for US$54.99.

Movie Stockade, Jungle Bonecrusher and Overcast Out In Canada

The latest wave of the Transformers Movie Deluxe Class, consisting of Stockade, Jungle Bonecrusher and Overcast, have been released at Canada. Cybertron.ca are reporting that the sighting ware made at Toys R Us in Toronto.

Movie Premium Ratchet Listed on Hasbro Toy Shop

Transformers movie Premium Series Voyager Ratchet, which is currently a Best Buy store exclusive, is now listed on Hasbro’s online store, Hasbrotoyshop.com. There are even pictures of the item with the Best Buy exclusive logo on it.

The listing is for a preorder, but no date has been given on when it will be available.

Bad Night for Transformers at Oscars

Despite being nominated for 3 awards, Transformers didn’t pick up a single Oscar last night at the awards.

The Bourne Ultimatum won both the Achievement in Sound Mixing and Achievement for Sound Editing, but surprising’y, The Golden Compass beat out both Transformers and Pirates of the Caribbean At World’s End to the Achievement in Visual Effects.

All we can hope for now is Transformers 2 going one better in 2 years time.

AllSpark Power Big Daddy, Grindcore, Jolt and Divebomb Sighted

Thanks to a sighting on TFW2005, it has now been confirmed that the Walmart exclusive Transformers movie Allspark Power deluxe figures Big Daddy, Grindcore, Jolt and Divebomb have been found at Walmart in Fontana, CA.

The Academy of Science Fiction Fantasy, and Horror Films (The Saturn awards) have announced that Transformers has been nominated in two categories of “Best Science Fiction Film,” and “Best Special Effects”.

IDW Transformers Comics for May 2008

Encore Skylynx Released Today

Fan2Fan are reporting that Encore 07 Skylynx, the famous British accent Transformer, has been released today in Japan from TomyTakara.

The rare figure, that was originally released in 1986 as part of the season 3 line, is likely to sell out very quickly, so get shopping.

Also released in Japan are various Transformers movie toys.
