Optimal Optimus Unpainted Black Prototype on Ebay

A prototype hardcopy, black Optimal Optimus has appeared on ebay. The seller claims that “Only 2 can be confirmed to exist” but on the Certificate of Authenticity, it states “There are probably less than 12 of these in existence in the world”, so believe what you will. The item originally came from the collection of one of Hasbro and Takara’s designers, so for some collectors, it will be quite special to have.

Currently the auction stands at US $1,999.94 with 0 bids. Given the credit crunch, that’s not surprising.
