First Photos of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Constructicon Toy

HK-TF.com have posted 7 photos of what is believed to be part of Devastator, who will be appearing in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

The figure has no name, and the robot mode isn’t show, but he does transform into an RH400, with a Decepticon logo on the side. The last 2 photos show the figure with what could possibly be his mode for merging into Devastator.

Revenge of the Don!

Following on from news of next weeks Defiance #1, IDW Editor Denton J. Tipton has confirmed that popular Transformers artist Don Figueroa will be returning to the franchise with work on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Movie Prequel: Defiance #3, with a line art drawing to keep you busy with.

The third issue is due out in March.

Chris Mowry Confirms Defiance Information

Next week sees the release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Movie Prequel: Defiance, the second 4 issue prequel, and writer Chris Mowry has decided to clarify some misconceptions about the series.

Unlike, Alliance, which takes place between The Reign of Starscream and the sequel, Defiance takes place before the first movie, but still links into Revenge of the Fallen and possibly future stories as well. Josh Perez is on colours again, with Dan Khanna and Andrew Griffith on art duties.

Roberto Orci Confirms Some New Characters for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

IGN managed to get a quick work with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen writer Roberto Orci at the Television Critics Association press tour, where he confirmed one character by name and another by the type of Transformer. SPOILERS FOLLOW

A picture had previously been seen of him, but it’s now pretty much confirmed that Ravage will be appearing in the sequel, but also a Pretender, which for anyone not in the know, is a bot inside an outer shell disguise, most likely a human.

As is to be expected, the merchandise tie ins with Transformers Revenge of the Fallen will be weird and varied, with this weeks entry being chocolate.

The M&Ms will be available in a new Strawberried Peanut Butter flavour in seven limited edition versions of the packaging. On the package are pictures of the Twins, Skids and Trax.

The Snickers bar features Bumblebeeand the subtitled “Nougabot Bar”. To tie in the promotion, the nougat will be be yellow like Bumblebee.

First Revenge of the Fallen Trailer Coming 1st February

After months of waiting, Variety has confirmed that the first trailer for Transformers Revenge of the Fallen will be airing during the Super Bowl on NBC on 1st February. Write it in your diary now!

It is expected that 100 million people will watch the event, which has encouraged over most of the major movies studios to put out trailers on the day. Revenge of the Fallen will have to compete with Paramount’s other releases of Star Trek and G.I. Joe, as well as films from other studios, including Angels and Demons, Monsters vs. Aliens, Land of the Lost, The Fast and the Furious, Up and X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Michael Bay: “Revenge is Coming”

Don’t worry fans, Michael isn’t personnally going to hunt us all down and exact his revenge on us, he’s just starting the hype train on his movie.

He has posted on his message board, confirming the release of the poster, and that he will be giving us “ROBOTS KICKING ASS” on 26th June, but before that, we will receive a continued onslaught of information.

Poster Confirmed – New High Res Image Available

Yahoo! Movies have received a high resolution image of the new teaser poster, which shows more clearly, if rumours are to be believed, The Fallen.

First Revenge of the Fallen Poster of 2009 Revealed?

An auction on ebay seems to be selling a copy of a new poster for Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.

The poster features the tagline “Revenge is Coming”, which has been seen on previous products, the North American release date and a picture that looks very similar to the Fallen image on the toy packaging.

Expect some confirmation within the next month.

Revenge of the Fallen Toys Out on 29th May

A  post on a.t.t. has confirmed that the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen toyline will be hitting Walmart stores on 29th May, about a month before the film hits cinemas.

This follows a similar launch to the first movie, with toys being sighted around late May 2007.

A quote from the Walmart 2009 Toys Spring Modular Guide describes the line as being “far and away the largest action figure license for the year”, which should means lots of attention focused on the brand.
