Revenge of the Fallen Toys Out on 29th May

A  post on a.t.t. has confirmed that the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen toyline will be hitting Walmart stores on 29th May, about a month before the film hits cinemas.

This follows a similar launch to the first movie, with toys being sighted around late May 2007.

A quote from the Walmart 2009 Toys Spring Modular Guide describes the line as being “far and away the largest action figure license for the year”, which should means lots of attention focused on the brand.

2 New Animated DVDs Released Today in North America

Paramount Home Entertainment have released 2 Transformer: Animated DVD packages in North America today.

Transformers: Animated Season Two contains all 13 episodes of the second season, with extra features consisting of 2 audio commentaries, photo gallery and 2 animated shorts. Transformers: Animated – Transform and Roll Out + Season One Combo is a combination of the animated movie special that kicked off the series and the first season, again consisting of 13 episodes.

IDW Comic Releases – 07/01/09

There’s a good start to the new year from IDW, with 4 comics this week. The only new material is The Transformers: Maximum Dinobots #2, Simon Furman’s Dinobot tale, picking up after Transformers: Devastation.
The other 3 titles are TPBs, the first being Transformers: Saga of the Allspark TPB, which collects the four issues released by IDW, which are actually the first 8 issues of Titan’s Transformers UK comic. Next comes 2 reprinted volumes from IDW’s main continuity, The Transformers: Stormbringer TPB [4th Printing] and The Transformers: Escalation TPB [2nd Printing], volumes 2 and 3 respectively.

UK Animated Comic being Cancelled

Titan Comics have sent out letters to subscribers that their Transformers: Animated comic, exclusive to the UK, will be discontinued after issue #3, which was released last month.

Given the credit crunch, it appears to be very hard to sustain two Transformers comics in the UK. Subscriptions are being transferred to Titan’s Transformers movie comic, which is far more likely to survive.

Instruction Book Confirms Dead End’s Name

A photo of part of an instruction book has appeared on ACtoys, which confirms the name of the red sports car that has been sighted all over the internet. The name is confirmed as “Dead End“, and will be a scout figure in the upcoming Transformers Revenge of the Fallen line.

Two of the scout toys for the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen toyline have been confirmed with pictures of their packaging.

chenkofs of the actoys has posted the first pictures of Knock Out, the black and green motorcycle that’s been seen before, which also confirms his name.

yizhi521 of TF08.net has pictures of Rollbar in package, which has also appeared before.
