Written by Big Bot on February 11, 2008 | News,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen |

Transformers 2 director Michael Bay was present at VES awards last night and was interviewed by IESB.net, who put the proposal of the Dinobots being in the sequel. Michael didn’t deny it, but he didn’t confirm it. Instead, he commented on how things will be a lot more secretive this time around and the possiblity of scarping the film (not really).

Writers Strike Off

Written by Big Bot on February 9, 2008 | News,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen |

A deal has finally been made between the WGA and major Hollywood studios, which could see writers go back to work from Monday.

The terms of the deal will be finalised tomorrow, which could mean that Transformers 2 keeps its 26th June 2009 release date as well as most of the film and TV programmes coming out of the USA. Expect an announcement from Paramount on if this affects the release of TF 2.

Transformers 2 Production starts 2nd June

Written by Big Bot on January 8, 2008 | News,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen |

In a recent interview by IESB.net with Transformers 2 producer Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, he mentions that Transformers 2 production will start on 2nd June.

IESB: Can you give us a quick update on Transformers 2. Is it still planned for shooting in July of 08?

LDB: The second, June 2nd.

IESB: June 2nd?

LDB: Yep.

IESB: Is the story locked?

LDB: We’re nowhere because of the strike, we won’t know until we come back. We have a very fine outline and we know exactly where we want go with the movie but until this writers strike comes back, we’ll find out exactly where we are. Michael is completely on top of every detail. He’s designed a lot of great stuff already. He’s got a lot of great sequences imagined but you know, he needs some writers to work with before he’s ready to go, so I would say June 2nd is an unofficial start, it’s the target date we’d like to go for but, you know, we’ve got to get some writers to help us.
