Mark Ryan Back for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

In a message sent to Seibertron.com, Mark Ryan has confirmed that he is again on set working with the actors for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. He also mentions that he has also done some work in the studio, probably for his returning character Bumblebee.

”I can confirm that I am working on Transformers 2 – Revenge Of The Fallen and have been given the same job on set, voicing the Autobots for the actors, and have already done some voiceover work in the studio as well. It’s a privilege to work with the cast and crew again, it’s very exciting and we are having a great time. I cannot comment on details about the film or the script, but there are some new characters that fans will love.”

Be on the look out for Mark at the San Diego Comic-Con this week.

Steve Jablonsky to Score Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

In an article about Steve Jablonsky scoring for Gears of Wars 2, Music 4 Games also mention that he will again be working with Michael Bay on the score for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, following on from his work on last years Transformers movie.

This is excellent news and if the score is made more widely available on CD, it would be ever better.

Detailed Photos of Mystery Corvette

jalopnik.com have posted some new photos of the Chevy Corvette concept car that has been appearing on the set of Tranformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, most recently at Edwards Air Force Base. It hasn’t been confirmed who this character is, but rumour has ranged from Hot Rod to Blurr and even a resurected Jazz. Clearly, know one knows.

Rainn Wilson Discusses Role in Transfomers: Revenge of the Fallen

Ain’t It Cool News have interviewed Rainn Wilson, who has a small role in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and have talked about his work in the sequel, Micheal Bay’s directing style and some of Rainn’s other projects.

Quint: But yeah, I think that the character economy, how they would put it in screenwriting class, was handled very well. So what are you working on now? You have some stuff coming up?

Rainn Wilson: Well, I just did a very small cameo in TRANSFORMERS 2.

Quint: Cool.

Rainn Wilson: That was kind of a blast. I got to work with Michael Bay and I was a big fan of TRANSFORMERS.

Quint: I spent a few days on the set of the first movie and something I noticed was that Michael Bay, I think he has an AD, but he doesn’t need one.

Rainn Wilson: He does everything himself.

Quint: He does everything and he’s not afraid to be the task master on a set.

Rainn Wilson: I saw him and he was literally giving the focus puller notes. The focus puller was like “No, you have to do it like this…” and Michael Bay is like “No no no, do it like this and hook this here and you can turn this here and you can get the focus this way…” Somehow I believed Michael Bay knew more than the focus puller. He even ran camera a couple of times. He did his own camera work.

Quint: Yeah?

Rainn Wilson: Yeah.

Quint: That must have been fun. I don’t imagine that you are in any scenes with any robots, but it would still be fun.

Rainn Wilson: No, I wish I would have had scenes with explosions, but yeah the only other thing is I have a bunch of film irons in the fire out there. I just handed in, last week, the second draft of this film BONZAI SHADOW HANDS to Jason Reitman and that is the script I’m writing myself to star in where I play a down and out alcoholic ninja.

Megan Fox Discusses Transformers 2 Budget & Story Timeline

In an interview with IGN, Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen actress Megan Fox has talked about the budget for the sequel and what has happened between the first and second film for her character. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is set two years after the first movie, so 2009, and that Sam and Mikaela are still together. She also mentions that the budget for Revenge of the Fallen will be double of that of the first film, which explains how more robots can be accomodated.

Be sure to look out for Megan Fox at Comic-Con in San Diego.

Q: Compared to the first, you’d say it’s way bigger?

Fox: It’s twice the budget, so yeah.

Q: Can you say where this movie picks up for your characters?

Fox: It’s two years later, so when it comes out it will be present day. Shia [LaBeouf, who reprises his role as Sam Witwicky] and I have been dating for two years, so it’s kind of like old news. There’s no big love scenes or anything like that – you kind of get into the couple bickering now. That stage, like the old married couple. That’s all I can say!

Marsden Discusses Role in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

MTV have recently sat down with British actor Matthew Marsden, who plays a British Special Forces Officer in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In the interview, he discusses bits of the plot, the role his character plays and where abouts in the film he appears, so there are plenty of SPOILERS you will probably want to avoid.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Game Confirmed by Activision Blizzard

At this years E3 game convention, Activision Blizzard showed off their games offerings for 2008 and 2009, including some movie based games like X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Quantum of Solace but more importantly Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The sequel based game will be out around the time of the film (June/July 2009) on nearly all platforms. Unlike the first game, which was developed by Traveller’s Tales, this game will be developed by Luxoflux. Luxoflux developed Vigilante 8 on the Nintendo 64 and the True Crime series.

Also announced was the Transformers: Animated game for the Nintendo DS, due out in October. Hopefully some confirmed details on these games will be revealed in the next couple of days.

Bay Talks from Undisclosed Location about Transformers 2

Inbetween filming on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at an “undisclosed location”, director Michael Bay answered some questions from Entertainment Weekly. He doesn’t reveal much, except that he is still releasing fake pieces of information all the time.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What can you tell us about Transformers 2? Or, better yet, what will you tell us?
MICHAEL BAY: When we were writing the script, I said to the writers, “I hate sequels that try to make it to the third movie. Pretend like we’re never having a third movie, so let’s go for broke on the second one. I hate those cliffhangers! Let’s just make this movie stand on its own.” I really feel this movie is not a forced sequel. I think the script is really good, and I think it’s got a lot of new stuff in it. There are a lot of rumors out there, but we’ve released a lot of fake stuff. We’ve done a really good job of keeping things secret.

Can you give us a hint of something that is true then?
[Laughs] No.

C’mon, anything?
There are some great, new robots that are really inventive.

You recently wrapped production on your update of Friday the 13th, and horror buffs out there are dying to know: what’s it going to be about?
It’s a reconception of the original. We’re introducing a whole group of new kids. What we always try to do is add a little bit of freshness to these movies that were really scary back then and update them for a new audience.
