It seems Metrodome, despite being sold by previous license holder TV Loonland, stil has the rights to G1 in the UK, which means they plan on rereleasing their Generation One DVD boxsets.
The 98 episode series will again be split into the same four sets, Season One, Season Two Part One, Season Two Part Two and Seasons 3 & 4, with all the same bonus features, expect probably the comic and booklets. All four sets are due out on 15th June.
Unfortunately, this probably means we won’t be seeing Shout! Factory’s set for a while.
IDW Publishing Editor-In-Chief Chris Ryall has revealed images of some covers for three of the upcoming issues of the All Hail Megatron comic series.
Issues 13, 14 and 15 continue on from the main 12 issue series, but with two 11 page stores per issue, designed to wrap up remaining story points from All Hail Megatron, Maximum Dinobots, Revelations and other issues that came before, as well as lead into the ongoing series starting in November.
Obviously, there are some spoilers, so you have been warned.

This weekend saw the shock win on Britain’s Got Talent for dance act Diversity when they pipped Susan Boyle to the £100,000 prize and a spot on the Royal Variety Performance.
Diversity were up against fellow dance act flawless throughout the competition, where in the final Flawless drew on a series of Michael Jackson routines for their performance, mixing dance steps from videos such as Smooth Criminal and Beat It.
As good as Flawless were they couldn’t match the originality of Diversity, who drew on Transformers for inspiration, turning into a group Transformer onstage.
Hasbro’s panel at BotCon 2009 is in mid flow and a few of the main USA sites are live blogging/twittering/posting updates from the convention. Unfortunately, no photos or videos are allowed, so there’s only lots of text to read.
The panel consists of Greg Lombardo, Aaron Archer, Bill Rawley, Joe Kyde, and Erik Siebenaler, as well as some of Hasbro’s writers and marketing team. There’s a lot of information on Masterpiece, Animated, Universe and Revenge of the Fallen toys for the rest of 2009 and 2010. Hopefully there will be some more news on why Animated was cancelled, but we may have to wait until tomorrow.
If you can’t be bothered to read through everything, I will post the big news from the convention: Hasbro are planning on becoming more environmental with their packaging and removing the twist ties. Amazing!
The first panel at BotCon 2009 was on the creative process behind the Transformers: Animated show, with the subtitle, Animating Animated.
Lets start with the bad news, Transformers: Animated as a cartoon is finished! It was the first thing announced to prevent endless questions on the subject. The panel recorded all these types of questions being asked at Hasbro’s panel, which should now be even more entertaining.
Also shown were plenty of the Animated Shorts that have appeared on previous DVDs.
More details, including a full description of the creative process of the show, with pictures and videos, can be found at TFW2005 and Tformers.
Following on from Toys R Us this week, we received an email from the guys at Forbidden Planet (every grown up’s favourite shop) to say that they too have Transformers toys from Transformers Revenge of the Fallen on sale today.
You can see them on their website too, but personally I’d head down to the store to see for myself, you never know what else you’ll pick up.

IDW Publishing have revealed their next Best of UK series of comics, subtitled Prey.
