Coloured Cover for Reign of Starscream #4

After the inked cover for Transformers Movie Sequel: The Reign of Starcream #4 was revealed earlier in the week by artist Alex Milne, writer for the series Chris Mowry has posted the fully colour version of the cover.

Reign of Starcsream #4 is released in late July, with Issue #3 released on 16th July, hopefully with no delays.

Duhamel Talks Transformers 2

Empire Magazine bumped into Josh Duhamel on the set of When In Rome and managed to get 2 sentences from him on the story of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

“I guess who he’s working with is probably the biggest change,” said Duhamel, before adding once more, presumably for emphasis. “Who he’s working with.”

Now this, as Empire propose, add fuel to the rumours that The Fallen will feature in the sequel, and that the Autobots and Decepticons will have to band together against this common foe. Sounds a bit like Galvatron at the end of Transformers The Movie.

Local Report on Princeton Filming

The Times has written an article on the filming of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at Princeton campus, with some comments from Michael Bay. Shooting has apparently gone well over the first two days, and should finish today on the campus. Where the production will move next is currently unknown, but be sure to look out for information shortly.

Bay also revealed what the campus shoot was being used for in the film:

The university angle to the plot “is all about Sam growing up and going to college … a teenager growing into a man

The Return of Frenzy?

Written by Big Bot on June 25, 2008 | News,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen | Tags: ,

A new video and photo seem to indicate the return of everyone’s annoying robot from the first film, Frenzy. The video shows him attacking the Saturn Astra, creating a hole in the windscreen. The car has some of human cast inside. A picture ( via TFW2005) gives a closer view of the robot on the car.

Of course, these raise more questions about the possible return of Frenzy, a different Frenzy, a Soundwave minion or a Michael Bay visual trick to fool us fans.

Day 2 Princeton Report

The Transformers Live Action Movie Blog have received another report from the Transformers 2 set at Princeton, with details on filming that took place on Day 2.

Most of the filming involved Shia, Megan, Isabel, Ramon and lots of extras running about the place with smoke added. Here is a short extract from the report:

Once the principals were done, the crew shot a group of about 20-30 student extras running into and out of the dorm’s western entryway (the same one that Shia, Megan, and Ramon had run out of). It was pretty funny to watch the extras run, because they were being funneled in and out of the doorway in a big circle, so the kids that had just run out of the building would circle around and run back in until the shot was over. In both cases the crew used a smoke machine in the dorm’s southwest hallway, which was visible from one of the windows.

Lots of Day 1 Pictures from Princeton

The Transformers Live Action Movie Blog have received a sackful of photos from the filming of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen today at Princeton University.

The only vehicles on site were a set of Saturn Astras, one nice and clean, the other smashed slightly and Bay’s famous Baymobile, zipping around the set filming the action.

The cast on sit included Shia, Megan, Ramon, and Isabel, who are all expected back tomorrow for some more talky scenes.

Hasbro to fans: Revenge is Coming!

Written by Big Bot on June 23, 2008 | News,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen | Tags: ,

The My Little Pony Fair 2008 is not the most likely place to find Transformers 2 related information, but a photo taken on the Hasbro tour at their offices in Providence, Rhode Island, shows the robot hand made famous at BotCon 2007, counting down to the release of the first movie in the USA. On this version, the message: REVENGE IS COMING…2009.

It actually sounds better than the Transformers 2 subtitle.

Correction to Transformers 2 Titling

At a time, it was easy calling the Transformers sequel, Transformers 2, but now, the Transformers Live Action Movie Blog are reporting that the correct title for the film is Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen instead of “Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen”.

Screenwriter Roberto Orci has confirmed that the sequel will indeed be leaving out the “2” from the title and keeping this new name.

Transforming Weapons in Transformers 2?

Written by Big Bot on June 17, 2008 | News,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen | Tags: ,

Transformers 2 writer Roberto Orci has answered a question on Don Murphy’s board, in the “Hey Roberto” thread, mentioning a new feature in the sequel:

Roberto, will there be Transformers that transform into Weapons in TF2?
yes!

As some of you may have noticed, the Transformers 2: The Ultimate Battle game description mentioned a new transformation system, including weapons. If this turns out to be true, and not a complete bluff, it will add something different. It could be that the bot that turns into a weapon is part of the larger robot, like Scorponok in the first film.
