No Arcee in Movie

Roberto Orci, writer for The Transformers movie, has posted a message on Don Murphy’s boards, stating that Arcee is not in the Movie and the reasons why

I hope that all those who hate Arcee will be gracious to those who love her. And to all those who wanted to see her, you should know the decision was not based on a mere dislike of the character, nor an attempt to defeminize the franchise. The decision is, at this point, story driven.

Paramount Buying Dreamworks

Written by Big Bot on December 10, 2005 | News,Transformers movie (2007) | Tags: ,

Yup, Paramount Pictures is going to buy Dreamworks SKG in a deal worth around $1.5 billion (or a lot of more in simple terms). This will also include Dreamworks Animation and the entire Dreamworks catalogue, including films like Gladiator, Shrek, Chicken Run etc.

Many fans are concerned that the live action movie may be scrapped, but considering that Dreamworks and Paramount are both working on the movie (not many people seem to realise that Paramount are directly involved), there is little reason to canel one of the biggest movies of 2007.

Transformers Live Action Movie

Written by admin on | News,Transformers movie (2007) |

This information was sent to us today…

Hollywood Reporter meldet…
“The Transformers” — the ever-morphing Hasbro toy line introduced
in the mid-1980s that has gone on to spawn comic books, multiple television
series and an animated feature — are being prepped to change shape again,
this time into stars of the big screen. Angry Films topper Don Murphy (whose
next film is “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”) and writer-producer
Tom DeSanto (“X-Men” and “X2 X-Men United”) have teamed
to produce a feature-length, live-action movie based on the popular brand.
The duo are expected to shop the project to studios shortly, and DeSanto said
they have already received interest from a handful of directors hoping to
get involved in the project. DeSanto is currently working on a story treatment
for the project before he and Murphy hire a screenwriter to adapt it for the
big screen.

This fills me with fear, nothing could kill off a Transformers revival faster than a big budget disaster on the silver screen. We await more info on this project with trepidation.
